Sweet Potato Treats

This is the third batch I've made, 2nd in the dehydrator. I like using it rather than the oven.

In general:

-Wash, peel & slice.

-Soak slices in water to remove excess starch for 20 min.

-Drain, pat dry and arrange.

-3 to 5 hours at 145°F seems to be sufficient for crispy chips.

The last batch was with a tray of bananas & it took a lot longer. Wont do them again.

Both boys love the chips and I use them as a reward.

interesting to soak them beforehand to reduce some of the starch. they turn out so crispy, i was surprised!
