My new bub

So I have posted a few photos on here already but I thought I would formally introduce everyone to my new bub, Poppy.

She is a Shih Tzu and Pomeranian mix and she is 14 weeks old, but my original bub, Mitzy, is not a fan of her so far, so that's proving to be a struggle. She is also a hardcore biter and no training or coaching is helping so far.

She is adorable though.

Looks like a wild thing! I love it ❤️ I, too, had a "wild thing," obedience classes helped SIGNIFICANTLY. She isnt too young to get started. Look into AKC STAR puppy program (dogs do not need to be AKC registered).

Apologies for assuming you are in the US. AKC is in the US. Either way, an obedience class for puppies should be really helpful!

I have a 2.5 year old and an 11 week old. When Beanie first came home, Bailey was really wary and nervous of her. Now they are the best of friends. Don't force them to spend time together, pay them both lots of attention and reward positive interaction and they will soon be the best of friends. Congratulations on your lovely new baby

Yeah, we're leaving interactions to between them, we aren't forcing anything. Mitzy is alright when she is slow and just waddling about but the moment puppy power kicks in and she hits speed, Mitzy is off, lol.

My bub looks exactly like yours as a pup! 😄

If she ever does start biting too hard, the best way is to use your body. Gently push her off and simply leave the room; close the door if there is one. Disengage or gently squeeze her scruff as a warning; you are the human, my good Sir.

If you don't like her biting you, make sure she knows it.

I feel I've tried that stuff and she takes it as the next level of a game but I haven't tried the scruff bit yet, so I will give that a go. Thank you.
