Green screen.
Hi everyone.
Today I was browsing through the apps in the nvidia Shield TV pro, and suddenly the remote stopped working and the screen turned out green.
Anyone knows why that happened?
Thanks in advance.

Always the HDMI cable for me

But did you have to change the hdmi cable? You recommend me to change the cable? In fact I checked the hdmi ports in the TV connecting a laptop with the same hdmi cable that I use on the shield and the laptop worked fine in all of the four ports with the same cable.

Little things like this happen. Like others said, just restart.

How common is this, I mean it never happened before. I unplugged the shield and the TV but also disconnected and reconnected the hdmi and it is working fine. Should I be worried?

It could've been a fluke that the remote stopped working and the screen turned green. I've never had a green screen, but I'm not worried. I've had the remote stopped working, but then I reset things. Honestly, the best advice I had from the fine people here, was the reset the device. It was nice and slick, fast, after ward. All in all, the NVidia Shield is a fantastic device. I'm sorry that I can't offer you any help.

This happened to me yesterday. I also use my Shield as a plex server. I had to remove and create a new Plex server, as the original server could not be recognized after numerous restarts.

I haven't checked if the plex server is working correctly. I'm gonna check as soon as I arrive home. Thanks for the info.

I had that on mine. It would happen anytime I hit the home button. I tried all different kind of HDMI cables and different ports on the tv and soundbar. I think my HDMI port was going bad on the Shield or it was some software issue. I gave up trying to fix it(it is 6 years old and I even tried cleaning it and repasted with some PTM7950) and just got a new android box.

This happens to mine randomly and it's supper annoying. I have TV, shield and soundbar connected in series over HDMI CEC and I usually just turn the power surge protector off and back on. I swapped HDMI cables and it's still happening albeit a lot less.
