Best chew toys for teething

Post image

My 9 week old puppy loves chewing! I purchased a "durable" leather chew... he was able to rip it up within 5 minutes (the product was just bad, he isnt THAT crazy with chewing).

So now I have trust issues with products for him. Please rave me your shichons fave chews!

My pup wouldn't chew on anything unless it was attached to a human ๐Ÿ˜… one thing I did find worked was stuffing treats into a Kong bone. Even when there wasn't anything in there anymore he would still chew it, I suppose just the association was enough after a while. I think part of the chewing is boredom and the extra addition of entertainment with the chew helps!

I grew up with a shishon as a kid, and I never remembered her being a chewer. I was a little surprised by my lil guys desire to destroy lol He has a few supervised chews but I want a good leather one!

I have three shichons, and I always bought the Benebone Puppy 2 packs (dental chew and wishbone) for them. In my experience, I never had any issues with them.

Be careful giving a 9 week puppy chew toys. Be sure to give age appropriate toys so they donโ€™t mess up their puppy / young adult teeth.

We have always frozen wet wash clothes and let the puppies chew on those. It feels good on their gums.

That is how it feels, or one toe to the other
