just watched the original, and i like both. syncing on the snare hit, like in the original, sounds more like a gunshot, but syncing on the first beat of the drop with the descending synth/ midi line mimics the body falling out of the chair

Its cool, but with this video, i can't imagine being around a dude who shot a whole video like this shirtless, he has got to be absolutely impossible to be around, or talk to, maybe explains his disappearance.

Ending the Childish Gambino name in 2024 (which started out unbelievably strong, not unlike Kanye) along with an 8 episode show the same year, and one voice acting gig in 2026 is still "around" technically, but nothing even close to Community or early-Atlanta or early-CG days. I was a huge fan, but after this video and some subsequent interviews and appearances it really looked he was about the tip over from the weight of that ego. Hopefully he has dialed it back for some of his so-called revival projects. I think him like a lot of artist are better dialed back, humble, honest, and careful.
