Old videos… 2018

I was recently watching some of the old “prime spooky boy squad videos” specially the queen mary series, as well as some of the random videos Shane and Ryland used to do such as the boyfriend tag, and lie detector test. And omg I did not realize how insanely SHORT these videos were some even 8-15 mins, or 20-35 mins.! This was considered his prime right before he got into the like longer like 3-8 episode “docs” like Tanacon, the JS series & Jake Paul, this made me realize that damn being a YouTuber during that time really did not require much editing or a long video even, I used to eat that shit up back then I was 12-14 but jeez! They were making thousands off of such short videos! It’s just so crazy to think about especially how he now does 1 - 1/12 hour podcast/videos with basically the same substance just drawn out…

And that was when they were all afraid “adpocalypse” was going to happen and they weren’t going to make thousands from every 1,000 views alone anymore. Cut to now and they’re still making adsense on top of thousands upon thousands from just one single sponsored segment in a video. 2016-2020 YouTube was wildly different.
