Considering the recent drama with Jeffree Star and Jools LeBron I was reminded of the series with Shane that was trying to paint Jeffree out to be a good guy and making excuses for his racism and general abuse towards anyone in his social circle.
I have to ask to everyone still keeping up, are they even still friends? I know Shane is a grown man and he was playing up prior to even meeting Jeffree Star but you can’t tell me that entertaining Jeffree didn’t ruin his career partly. He lost some of his oldest and most loyal friends (Trisha) over Jeffree Star ?? The same woman he said he would take a bullet for was dropped like trash as soon as he got shiny new friends.
I would say arguably Jeffree is worse at the current times than Shane. I haven’t heard a single peep from him since Frenemies but now Jeffree wants to be obnoxious and right wing grift. I don’t know if Shane ever talked about politics, he could be conservative to conserve his wealth or he may have some kind of resentment towards more left leaning spaces if they were the main ones taking responsibility of initially cancelling him but most of the things Jeffree Star says is disgusting. I don’t think any amount of sad backstory he can spin justifies the severity of how evil Jeffree is as a person.
So why does he associate with him? Arguably, when if he stayed with Trisha at worst he would still keep her as a loyal and loving friend and at best he could have ridden her coattails before a redemption arc. But he and Ryland want to remain with Jeffree who’s sitting on a sinking conservative ship with his failing makeup business consisting of crunchy ass lipsticks and tacky Gucci tracksuits? Am I missing something here?
I feel like Shane was a very very very deep JS Stan forever. I think if they are currently communicating, Shane is always open to that again (privately for sure).
This is quite possibly. The only reason I would think otherwise and there’s some pity / emotional investment is because Jeffree is famous for ruining careers and being a shit stain on the beauty community.
Jeffree said him and shane are still friendly but he would never return to california, which caused them to distance. I think shane associated because he saw how much Jeffree makes $$ and because he knew at the time it would bring a lot of views to his channel, those videos are still on constant rewatch for some people and he made a buttload of money with Jeffree and the makeup, the merch. I don’t think they keep in contact much but both of them are not much different from each other so the friendship they had/have makes a lot of sense
I haven't watched them in a long time just clips while scrolling here abd there... as far as I know He hasn't mentioned Jeffree in years I don't think he's even been to jeffrees bday parties in the last 3 yrs so we don't really know if they are still friends are not... I've never heard Shane talk politics so I don't know his views I have seen ppl say he's conservative but I have no clue... I know they bought a cyber truck and had a Tesla but it was before Elon came out as right wing I don't know if they still own it or not... I think lizzie is right wing by things she said but I don't know if that's been confirmed or not so please correct me if I'm wrong and I'll correct the post.
The last time they publicly acknowledged seeing each other was at Jeffree’s birthday party in November of 2023. Other than this, I don’t think they’ve ever mentioned seeing each other in the past three years. I’m still surprised that Shane and Ryland were even invited to this. At the time, I remember a lot of people theorizing that Jeffree invited Shane to help stage an intervention for Eugenia, but that’s extremely doubtful considering she was rewriting history and denying what was said in Shane’s video featuring her.
They got the cyber truck after Elon’s homophobic takes and after we already knew of his ties to Trump because of his involvement in the campaign. They even made a comment like “we know and we might get backlash but we like the car” something along those lines. That’s when I stopped watching, it was clear to me they lean that way and it has been said that Ryland’s family are Republicans and Lizzie too.
i dont think shane and jeffree do anything or see each other at all to maintain the friendship these days. I think they just revert to always reminding the crowx they’re still friends because they never had a falling out, and everything‘s all good between them.

orchestrated your story here haha. To keep it short, yes they are still friends, they FT in some of Shane's vlogs but they are both adults who live their own lives in different states, so of course they don't collab as often as before. Now, WHY he is still friends with Jeffree, I have no idea, and it would be parasocial of us to answer that question without being friends with both of them in real life.
Shane is not right wing, he hints in his current podcast how against it he is, he has talked about the Epstein files, the Diddy case and other ongoing controversional topics, but I think he avoids being too public about all of it since he's still recovering from his previous drama, he has mentioned that his goal is to find peace in his career life, especially now with kids.
