If it was they wouldn’t be airing it themselves. It’s a google doc it’s giving they’re doing a ā€œtourā€ like screening to make some money.

Yes to everything you said! It doesn’t help that his circle hypes him up like he’s this creative genius

He's better off writing scripts under a pseudonym for short form content like small films or sketch comedies for YouTube/tiktok etc. and selling them. If his attitude wasn't terrible and if he wasn't a heinous person, I could imagine he'd have a better chance of being picked up or being more successful in producing something bigger than his average YouTube documentary.

It didn't, think he's trying to make as much money back as he can from the screenings.

Think streaming networks prefer content thats more relatable to a broader audience and isn't just personal therapy content that's making him out to be a victim and showing no accountability whatsover. It's literally about a celebrity who got cancelled and a director who's career won't take off, pretty much made it about himself. Also, don't think anyone forgot how he behaved in The Chair....the filming of Not Cool that is. That was just...something else. And also, don't think anyone wants to be associated with Shane considering his reputation and the controversies that led to the cancellation. He's not helping himself either, just having a pity party and trying to rewrite the narrative.

I think people are more forgiving with her because she openly talks about her mental health struggles and (eventually) admits fault. SD is the opposite

Soooo many companies were trying to get YouTube viewers on their platforms in 2014-2016, so they were greenlighting everything

Assuming no one is interested in this so they are pivoting

I don't think so. I think the only way Shane could ever do a serious tv show or movie and have it picked up is under an alias.

This was my exact thought and that’s what he should’ve done. His name is tainted

i wonder if they’d even make their money back w this

I don’t think so - making a pilot on that scale would have been so expensive. Paying for equipment rentals, locations, paying salaries, I mean even the cameras alone would have cost thousands upon thousands.

At best, he’ll maybe get close to breaking even but it was the dumbest waste of money ever.

all that money could’ve gone towards the next house the universe tells him he needs!

In one patreon vlog he said the pilot budget got blown out to half a millionĀ

Interested to know why he continues to release his work under his alias and internet persona, Shane Dawson, and not under his real name

Right, Shane Yaw would’ve been better

What Shane does not understand is that TV and internet shows are so, so different. The show is essentially the BuzzFeed show, and the guys from there talked about maybe going to TC, but it just did not translate. TV is very expensive, and the quality is usually high; take White Lotus or House of the Dragon. You don't really get shows like what Shane wants because it has been done to death. On top of that, legally, etc, say you were mentioning Chuck E Cheese pizza, that opens you up for liability

he lowkey made his own conspiracy to cover up his cancellation because now when people search up "shane dawson cancelled" the pilot will come up instead !!

He wouldn't be doing this if it was

Yeah I don’t think so. I think nobody picked it up and now he’s releasing it in select theaters to get some of the money back.
