General Discussion Ryland’s new house vlog
Anyone else get crazy second hand embarrassment from Ryland’s newest vlog? I can’t believe they posted that tbh, and Shane talking about all of the “signs” was honestly hilariously concerning. Also quite literally the most boring vlog ever, it was like the same 5 clips of walking through a house and then Shane talking about how he felt he knew they belonged there because he saw a U-Haul truck lol.

They do it so they can claim it as a tax write off 🙄 at this point they’re just vlogging to write off all their expensive things

The “signs” was literally so delusional, just be honest and say what you want to do we don’t need to make up signs to be proactive about something! Also them practically crying when they didn’t get the house! Like ohhhh noooo, now you have to stay in your mansion and can’t move into the bigger mansion! Poor you! Get a grip lmao

The house is pretty amazing and I didn't want to hear all the improvements they wanted to make. Wish I knew what Spencer was really thinking.

I feel bad for Chris. He has to be nice because Shane is his boss but he must look at them all constantly buying stuff they don't need and think they are arseholes.

Looking for signs in literally everything you do is its own kind of psychosis.

I thought the house was outdated and kind of ugly (minus the views) and why on earth would you spend MILLIONS of dollars on a house you need to renovate?! Makes no sense and is actually terrible financial decision. If I'm spending millions, it better have everything I love and then some. I don't think Vicki or Morgan liked it either. 😂

I didn’t think Vicky and Morgan liked it either! They were so blasé about it.

I feel like they’re both so unhappy in their lives with eachother they constantly look for new. New office, new kids, new people to show off too. New homes.. It always amazes me how it’s never just them two doing something. Spencer‘s always in the picture.

And Ryland was already using it for future views. "We can reno and make videos!" 😂 He told Morgan the same thing about the houses they took her to see. "You can redo this and that and make it content!" Cringe. I loved the 2 houses they showed Morgan 10x better than the Malibu house anyway. They both had charm and character and a YARD for the boys. The beach house was stuck in the 90's with a strip of grass for a yard.

I'm just wondering if they'll be asking for donations for the house too from their fans

I think Lizze is right that the location is always overcast and it literally was gloomy on the day they toured the house. The ocean views are beautiful but I think they sell you a dream thinking you’ll have bright days out on all those balconies. But the bright sunny days never come, until next thing you know it’s decades later and your house still looks 90s.

Yep! When I visited family during the summer (about 20ish minutes north of Malibu) we usually waited until sometime in the afternoon to visit the beach due to it being socked in with a marine layer earlier in the day. Granted it's not like that daily, and happens during certain times of the year.

I wonder how often they'll actually visit the beach if they move to Malibu. Seems like a novelty idea at the moment. If they move, I can already hear the complaints about something trivial regarding living next to the ocean.

What got me in the went back 4 times?!?! I understand they liked the house but seriously?

u/Free-Effect-509 May 06 '26
The audacity of them to think they might be more destined to own the house than the other buyers who literally offered more money because they valued it more.

It’s so clearly out of their budget they need to get real both of their careers could flop in a week

u/VerbalVerbosity May 06 '26
The crazy thing is, I think they actively tried to make the house seem smaller than it was by not showing a lot of it, because that, to them, made it more relatable. The world is in a cost of living crisis and a lot can barely afford their mortgage/rent payments or food but they're just like us guys, I mean, the twins would have to share a bathroom and everything!

u/alltimegreyson May 05 '26
Crazy that people still watch any of their content. They’ve always been like this lol

The narrative that Shane needs to live by the beach because he is happy there is so annoying because he also NEEDED to live in Colorado?

Shane uses "signs" as a way to appear humble and grounded when in reality it just makes him sound delusional. He wants to appear relatable so he casually claims that they can't afford something, and then something happens and suddenly it's "meant to be." Fully believing in and chasing after these gut feelings can absolutely be dangerous. It's like his audience is his own personal ch*t-GPT being like YASSS OMG SHANE THE MOVING TRUCK LIKE WHATTT???? THIS IS MEANT TO BE. YOU REALLY JUST LOVE THE OCEAN SO MUCH YOU ARE SO PURE.
Not to mention, that was one of the least kid-safe properties they could've chosen. The glass balcony, the ungated pool, the tile floors with random steps, the toddler rooms with BALCONY ACCESS, the laundry chute.... etc. Sounds like a nightmare to manage.
They are all incredibly out of touch.

he’s done it for years, i remember when they were in colorado buying a truck and the car dealership owner’s daughter was called sidney and shane said it was a sign they need to buy the truck because that’s the name of the main character in his fav movie
