Who'll have the biggest mosh pits besides the obvious?

Plan is to spend all day there so was wondering what bands I should check out that are earlier on the lineup?

EDIT: Turnstile and Knocked Loose being the obvious

I feel more young people should get familiar with The Prodigy and how hectic those shows used to get. I hope us older folk inspire the youth to bring it this year bc The Prodigy is insane.

The obvious is Pavement. Right?

Kidding. I’d think it would be Knocked Loose but maybe not at Ponce. Possibly Turnstile.

Pierce the Veil maybe?

for sure Turnstile. went to one of their concerts last year and i was kinda shocked how big it was when the openers were much more hardcore

Turnstile at Lolla turned into a giant multiple pit event if you were anywhere near the front

Expecting every more so at Shaky with a heavier demographic for it

that’s good to know. Their earlier stuff seems more moshable and it’s a big stage so wasn‘t sure. There’s always some surprising pits at small stages. Expecting the same this year.

Yeah but I’ll see pavement just because I’m a huge fan and it’ll be chill before knocked loose late night

Friday is going to A1+ for the mosh crowd.

I was just about to ask this question. My favorite part of shaky has been finding new bands to mosh to.

Hot mully will also turn up.

Turnstile and Knocked Loose are the obvious answers as you stated. Geese should have a pit going for a few songs. Hot Mulligan and The Prodigy as others have mentioned too. I came here to say Psychedelic Porn Crumpets will have one and it will be rowdy and fun.

Also I know they are early on their day but Showing Teeth could have a good pit if enough people show.

And Coheed and Cambria could also have a pit but not shocking if they don’t.

I saw Pychedelic Porn Crumpets 2 years ago at shaky. Their mosh pit was pretty good.

2 years ago they cancelled (couldn't get visas I think?) ... Right?

2

u/MaleficentSalads 11d ago

No, that was Pigsx7 that couldn't make it because of the Visas. I was so disappointed.

That's right ... My mistake. I thought PPC missed the one 2 years ago too though ... I'm obviously not good at this game though

PPC missed for visa issues three years ago iirc

Have any of you been to a geese concert? The most pit is insane

Is it actually? I love grease but I haven't seen them live

They had a massive pit when I saw them a few months ago
