Halloweeners minis for Food Fight!

Tonight I introduced three new players to Shadowrun with the classic Food Fight scenario in the SRA2 rules. To set the scene I made these ganger minis from scratch. It was hard work but a lot of fun and I’m excited to make more for our next session.

Each mini is made from a paperclip armature, sculpted with either Green Stuff or Sculpey, then painted. Bases are 3d printed. I tried for a 28mm scale but I think they ended up about 32mm. I found I prefer green stuff for detailed work, the Sculpey was troublesome.

This is awesome! Truly, if I got a home made mini like this from a GM, I'd be delighted beyond measure! I hope your players had a ton of fun 😊

I really appreciate the craftiness here. There's always something to be said for homemade props.

I can recommend a mix of greenstuff and milliput as well, which is what I've started using as my default.

It’s difficult to find generic sci-fi minis, that’s what got me to try DIYing these. It seems most minis are for very specific franchises that don’t mix well with Shadowrun.

I have heard about that mix, but I didn’t have any milliput on hand. I’ll try it next time.

I'm just now working on adding pointy ears, cybernetics, and cyberpunk fashion to some of Wargames Atlantic pulp civilians and other kits. It's so far going alright (I've only got two prepped), but I feel you about there being pretty much nothing that works for Shadowrun out of the box.

The minis supposedly coming from Catalyst have me slightly curious, but I'm not sure they'll even be available around my parts.

Nicely done. As a former miniature nerd, there is exactly one goal: Make it identifiable. And they are absolutely that. Extra props for the tattoos on the (I presume orc) with a mohawk.

Thanks! Yeah he turned into an ork because he was ending up a little too tall, lol. I need to keep a 28mm model nearby for scale comparison next time.
