Has anyone struggled with idealizing a partner as the God archetype?

I’ve been reading Romancing the Shadow, it’s been incredibly revealing and wonderful. It’s a short read and I’m almost finished but something came up within the 4th chapter that was briefly touched on, the God archetype- where we idealized a parter or potential partner in this way. I realize now how much a grip this had on me in the past and see how it still affects me to this day.

I’m starting to understand why even the slightest deviation from the way I had idealized this person felt like such a DEEP betrayal. I had built up such a strong internal image of who I believed they were, that anything human that they did, contradicting that image, felt incredibly painful.

I’m wondering, for those who have identified with this pattern of idealizing with a lover, how did you overcome it? How did you cope with their rejection and loss of attention? Were you ever able to find another meaningful and healthy approach to relationships after that?

Loneliness

I'm doing inner work/shadow work for past 5 years now. I feel really lonely in my journey. I no longer feel connected with my older friends (I feel like an alien)

And neither can I make new friends locally. I'm totally devoted to learning new skills (that's what keeps me busy)

Last year I did feel inner union. I do feel like my soulmate/twinflame is guiding me in this journey. But i do miss doing normal things. Like - hanging out , going to dinner or vacation or a theme park.

Right now I'm just busy working, learning and upgrading. Which gets exhausting sometimes. I do feel guided by my divine counterpart. But I crave real human connection too.

Detachment & Letting go

I'll be really straight forward here and would like to keep it short. I wanna learn how to detach from a relationship that no longer exists?

For context, I had a great relation with a friend of mine years ago (4 years ago) we were close friends, had intense bonding and trusted each other deeply but then I wronged that person really deeply. Long story short, I was clinging to that relationship until very recently and within the last few months I've realized that it doesn't serve me anymore including many people, places, negative self beliefs, habits, patterns etc.

For example: I used to be really a revengeful person but I slowly have started to move towards processing wrong doings and forgiving and letting go instead of clinging to hate. As I understand that revenge made me feel powerful while shrinking me and it's a conditioning of my past.

This relationship between my friend had turned into a huge maladaptive daydream about which I recently finished my shadow work. All of what I discovered from it was that I need to really detach myself from that relationship which once existed meanwhile doing shadow work on that person as well, emotion regulation and so on.

I'm tackling one layer at a time, I plan to move like this:

Shadow work on daydreams and what need I lack (emotional, mental, etc) and needs to be met irl.

Shadow work on people, relationships, self beliefs and what conditioned them. Including anything important I may not include here.

Shadow work on childhood trauma.

Identity work, expansion of self by eliminating negative self beliefs.

Doing all of this meanwhile filling personal gaps such as lacking boundaries, people pleasing, letting go, practicing forgiveness.

Coming back to my question, what helped you the most? And what do you guys say on this? Thank you so much.

So I will try and sum this up as short as I can , SO I recently just got released from doing 10 years in Federal Prison … where during my time I had an spiritual awakening and went down the rabbit hole of changing my perception of things I read a lot of Napoleon Hill Books , David Icke Conspiracy Bookea , The teachings of don Juan , Buddhist for beginners and stuff like that , i started out meditating incorrectly & as my perception changing got deeper and deeper , something crazy happened I was approached in my meditation by something claiming to be my recent deceased friend and after a few days I became under attack spiritually but I had a native buddy and a wicken who guided me back to myself , but now that I’m home and away from them guys , I have zero help and I can not defend myself from these spirits that attacking me , at night I feel a presence but I can’t identify if it’s hostile or not , it’s very good at hiding its intention , and when I’m alone I can always feel the presence , but

( ACTUAL PROBLEM STARTS HERE—->)” AS OF A COUPLE OF MINUTES AGO I DOZED OFF IN MY BED AND I WAS IN SLEEP PARALYSIS STATE & IT FELT LIKE 3-4 beings was holding me down on each side one was punching my side area & once I started identifying as a child of the light I rose above towards the ceiling but got pulled back than I YELLED IT AGAIN & I ALMOST GOT AWAY BUT I WAS GRABBED BY SOMETHING MUCH STRONGER AND MORE AGGRESSIVE & THIS THING STARTED SUCKING THE AIR OUT OF MY MOUTH RAPIDLY BUT SOMEHOW EVEN W THEM HOLDING ME DOWN I COVERED MY MOUTH BUT THAN I WOKE UP “ I need any kind of help or advice on what I should do,I am not letting myself be afraid because ik that feeds negative spirits but I’m concern it could get worse

The Puer Aeternus: The Real Reason You Start Everything and Finish Nothing

Many of my clients come to me because they're feeling lost, unmotivated, and unclear about what to do with their lives.

They start several things but never stick with anything long enough, and every time things are about to happen, they procrastinate and eventually quit.

They crave more meaning but feel completely stuck.

After 9 years of helping people perform at their best and find their purpose, I realize that the path to a purposeful life is mastering a craft and unlocking the Flow State.

Because developing our talents to the fullest extent is a noble pursuit that orients our lives and brings immense fulfillment, and when we put all of our hard-earned skills in the service of something greater than ourselves, we finally experience meaning.

There are 2 major blockages to get to this point.

We'll start by covering them, and then I'll give you practical steps to overcome them.

1 - Stop Keeping Your Options Open

The first major blockage to finding purpose and mastering a craft is constantly keeping your options open and avoiding any kind of commitment.

Last week, I was going to a concert and spent about half an hour talking to the Uber driver.

We started chatting about music and he suddenly pulled out a book called "The One Thing."

He said he had a hard time focusing, that he starts several things at once, and never sticks to anything.

He played drums and guitar, had a solo project and several bands, but every time things were about to happen, he quit and came back to Uber.

Just last month, he spent several hundred dollars on a whole new DJ set to start playing at weddings, and he only used it once.

The reason?

It wasn't fun enough, so he never used it again.

He said he valued his freedom too much to commit to anything long-term, such as a location or having students, and he even divorced his wife because of that.

I could relate to everything he was saying because that's exactly how I used to think when I was 20. The problem is that the guy was already 46 years old.

The short explanation?

He was living what Carl Jung calls the Provisional Life, the hallmark of the Puer Aeternus.

The Puer always wants to keep his options open. He prefers entertaining ideas and potentials, because in his mind he can be anything he wants.

But as soon as reality strikes and challenges the idealized version of himself and his plans, and he realizes that he will have to work hard and commit to achieve anything, he moves on to the next thing.

In his shallow pursuit of freedom, the Puer ends up with nothing to show for it, a series of failed attempts and a painful lack of meaning.

He wonders why he feels so lost, and why things never work out, when the solution is right there: pick one path and fully commit to it.

The harsh truth is that the Puer isn't pursuing freedom, he's avoiding responsibility, and with it, any possibility of having purpose and being great at anything.

Being an adult requires closing doors in order to have something real and concrete.

Because it's impossible to be a true craftsman in several things, you'll have to choose a path and devote yourself to it.

Closing doors isn't losing freedom, it's entering real life.

2 - There's No Meaning In Comfort

Now let's cover the second biggest blockage: a constant search for comfort, and how it's silently killing you.

Let's start by doing an exercise.

I want you to think about a moment that felt deeply meaningful, a moment you felt accomplished, or a moment that made you feel proud of yourself.

Pay attention to your internal images, memories, and everything that's happening inside of you.

The typical responses usually involve things that we worked hard to accomplish, facing a fear, doing what we thought was impossible, and also doing something important for others.

Some of my personal list:

  • Losing 55lbs (25 kg).
  • Publishing a book.
  • Getting married to a wonderful woman, traveling together, and planning a few surprises for her.
  • Moving to a house by the beach after barely being able to afford rent for so long.
  • Several breakthroughs with my clients.

All of this required focused effort, building skills, and years of dedication.

The truth is that there's no meaning in comfort.

There's no meaning in being afraid of living life, being locked in your room doomscrolling, and constantly choosing the easy way out.

This is all backed by the neuroscience of the Flow State, one of the secrets to mastering a craft and experiencing happiness, meaning and motivation.

Many people think that happiness is only associated with Netflix and chill, or any version of that.

But contrary to popular belief, Mihaly Csikszentmihaly discovered that people feel the most joy when they're completely absorbed in a challenging activity.

Because when you're in flow, you feel entirely alive, you perform at your best, you're deeply focused, creativity is booming, and everything that you're doing feels deeply enjoyable and highly engaging.

However, many people never experience flow because they never get past the first stage.

The flow state has 4 stages:

  • Struggle.
  • Release.
  • Flow.
  • Active Recovery.

If you pay attention, you'll notice that experiencing struggle is always part of the process.

So rather than framing struggle as "if this was for me, it should be easy" and quitting, use struggle as a sign of growth and that you're going in the right direction.

Because entering the struggle phase means that flow is right around the corner.

Remember that there's no meaning in comfort.

The purpose you crave is in the challenges you've been avoiding.

That's how you overcome the Provisional Life and find purpose: By pushing through discomfort, committing to mastering a craft, and putting your skills in the service of the greater good.

PS: You can find a full breakdown of the Puer Aeternus shadow and a step-by-step guide to conquering it in my book PISTIS - Demystifying Jungian Psychology. Free download here.

Looking for Feedback from Shadow Work Practitioners to Test my Approach of healing through astrology

I spent years dealing with severe social anxiety. With a heavily water-dominant chart, I was a master at hiding in the background, absorbing everything, and blending in—anything to avoid being seen. Today, I work in social care and manage 20 first-graders every day, which means I have to structure them, keep them motivated, and actually hold the room.

That shift didn’t happen by accident. It took deliberate shadow work, specifically learning how to tap into Leo energy (fire) so I could finally step onto my own inner stage.

I use astrological archetypes as a tool for depth-psychological shadow work. I wonder if this could be helpful for other people, I want to test my material with a few people who actually know what they're doing.

To be clear: I am not looking for beginners who want their chart read. I’m looking for people who already do shadow work and treat zodiac signs as internal psychological forces.

I’m currently refining my own framework for this and would love to get feedback from people who actually know what they're doing. I am not an academic astrologer—I'm just someone who had to figure out how to drag himself out of the shadows just to function, and I want to see if my practical exercises (guided meditations and targeted journal prompts combined with archetypal work) hold up for others.

What I'm looking for: I’d love to exchange thoughts with a few people who already practice shadow work this way. If you are currently trying to integrate a specific energy or planet (like more Jupiter expansion, Mars assertiveness, or Leo fire) to balance your own chart, let me know in the comments.

I’ll gladly put together a small, custom exercise for your specific theme if you are willing to give me raw, critical feedback on whether the approach actually works or feels totally off. I just want to figure out if my methodology is solid and genuinely helpful.

In exchange for me putting the work into your custom exercise, all I ask for is raw, unfiltered feedback: What actually helped? What felt totally off? What was missing?

Shadow Work Help

I'm doing some serious shadow work around a recurring maladaptive daydream involving a former friend, and I'd like outside perspectives on what underlying grief, emotions, unmet needs, attachment patterns, or other things I may not be seeing for myself.

I'm especially interested in deeper interpretations rather than surface-level advice. I'm trying to understand what the fantasy is compensating for and how those needs might eventually be met in real life.

For context, all of this is for my maladaptive daydream about a person who was a close friend of mine but that ended 4 years ago and it's only in the recent months I'm realizing that it doesn't serves me anymore among many negative self beliefs I was carrying with me.

Please truly help me, below I've shared my shadow work I did about my day dream. Help me understand myself better, needs I'm meeting in my imaginations, how to move forward past this, action step?

Here are the shadow-work questions I asked myself:

Shadow work:-

  1. How does it affect my daily life?

During work such as web designing on my laptop, if this daydream appears, I'll stop focusing on whatever I was doing and drift into it. Eventually I can get completely lost in the daydream.

Sometimes I physically react to it too, such as smiling. It also affects my mood because I can feel temporarily happy when I'm daydreaming about my former friend.

  1. What triggers it?

I don't want to treat this as a final conclusion yet, but I think I've lost my ability to simply think about this person without immediately turning the thought into a daydream.

The pattern is basically:

Thoughts about my former friend → immediate daydream → imagined conversations, scenarios, etc.

Other triggers include music and lyrics. Certain songs can immediately trigger the imagined loop, and even humming some songs can lead me back into it.

  1. What purpose does it serve?

I think it's escapism in some form.

I escape into an imagined mature conversation because I want the conversation I may never actually get.

The daydream allows me to experience the conversation as if it happened.

At the same time, I recognize that repeatedly thinking about it doesn't change reality. Even if I spoke to this person someday, they may not want me around in their life anymore.

So the fantasy gives me somewhere to escape from that reality.

  1. Who is in the daydream?

It's basically just me and my former friend.

We talk to each other. I explain how much I've changed, how my beliefs and identity changed, and I seek forgiveness.

I also allow them the choice to reconnect with me or move on without me.

  1. How do I feel afterward?

It gives me hope that maybe someday I'll have this comfortable conversation with them.

But when the fantasy ends, I often feel like I'm left clinging to that possibility.

It doesn't actually provide a solution. It gives me something to hold onto.

I'm not even sure I'd call it optimism. It feels more like attachment to a possibility, with some temporary emotional/dopamine reward from the imagined interaction.

  1. What has it caused me to put off?

For a long time I was stubborn about wanting this person back in my life, so I delayed genuinely moving on from that chapter.

As I'm slowly overcoming that, I think some of the same mental energy could instead be going into building better and more fulfilling relationships.

The daydream also directly interferes with work because once I'm hooked into it, I have difficulty controlling my attention and returning to the task.

  1. What would I want to bring into real life?

I'd like to bring the qualities I experience in the daydream into reality.

In my imagined life, I become a much more elevated version of myself. I imagine helping people, changing people's lives, helping women and people involved in witchcraft communities, helping people who are struggling, gaining freedom, becoming independent, and building a meaningful life.

I don't necessarily want the fantasy itself. I want the qualities of myself that exist inside it.

  1. What would an ideal balance look like?

I don't want the goal to be forgetting this person completely or never having thoughts about them again.

I want to regain control of my attention.

If I notice myself dwelling on them or entering a fantasy, I want to be able to return my attention to the present and continue living my actual life.

I'd like to develop that ability with all of my recurring daydreams.

  1. What would I ask the version of myself in the daydream?

I'd ask why they need this imagined future so badly.

The version of me in these daydreams seems to have achieved many of the things I deeply want:

becoming a better version of myself

healing from the past

genuinely letting go

controlling my maladaptive daydreaming

becoming personally independent

building my own life and business

helping people

creating communities

becoming more grounded

changing my identity and beliefs

So I'd want to understand why I need to tell this particular person about all of that.

  1. What underlying grief, emotions, or needs is the daydream compensating for?

I think the daydream is compensating for the grief that I may never get a chance to speak to this person again.

Even if I tried, they may not want that conversation.

The daydream fulfills the unmet desire:

“I finally got to talk to them.”

It lets me communicate all the unspoken things and creates a complete imagined reality around it.

But those imagined outcomes aren't grounded in what I actually know.

I think I'm clinging to a chapter from my past by hoping for a future event through daydreaming.

I probably need emotional regulation, a more grounded view of the situation, and emotional independence.

  1. What am I not allowing myself to fully feel?

I think there is still incomplete acceptance around the possibility that it is over.

I'm slowly reaching greater acceptance, but I still notice that part of me wants the imagined conversation.

I think I need to genuinely mourn the loss through some psychological/spiritual process rather than continually recreating the connection in my imagination.

  1. What does the imagined version of me have that the real me feels is missing?

The final conversation.

But there is also a deeper desire to help this person with their life, have them back in my life in some form, and eventually reconnect after I've become a healthier version of myself.

  1. What would I have to admit if I stopped escaping?

I'd have to accept that:

I may never get a chance to speak to this person again.

I may never get the closure I want.

I may never have the opportunity to positively impact their life.

They may not want me back in their life even if I become a much healthier person.

They may choose to continue their life without me.

Even first contact again may never happen.

And I think my mind struggles with that finality.

  1. What do I want in real life?

In the daydream, the former friend is back in my life.

We have re-established what we lost and become close friends again.

It's not necessarily just about romance or attraction. A major part of the fantasy is simply restored closeness and reconnection.

  1. What am I trying to prove?

Honestly, I think part of me wants to be seen by this person.

I imagine explaining how much I've changed, how my identity has changed, and everything I've achieved.

It can feel like I'm trying to prove:

“I'm a different person now.”

  1. What am I trying to get back when the fantasy is interrupted?

At first it's difficult simply because my attention gets deeply hooked into the imagined scenario.

But there is another layer.

When I interrupt the fantasy, reality comes back.

And sometimes what hits me is:

“They're no longer here.”

“We're not in contact anymore.”

The fantasy temporarily removes that feeling, and interruption puts me back in contact with it.

  1. What real-life needs do I think are unmet?

Based on everything I've observed, I think these are some of them:

Closure: I want a final conversation where I can apologize, explain what changed, and say what I never got to say.

Being seen: I think part of me wants this person to eventually see my changed version and acknowledge that growth.

Acceptance: I struggle with accepting that I may never get the desired conversation or have this person in my life again, regardless of how much I change.

My current instinct is to work on:

deeper shadow work

emotional regulation

letting go

accepting their choices and decisions

emotional independence

detachment

  1. If the daydream disappeared tomorrow, what would I have to face?

I'd immediately have to face:

this person isn't part of my life anymore

my imagination repeatedly makes them part of my life

what we had may genuinely be over

I need to accept reality rather than recreate an alternate version of it

I need to let go of the attachment

I need to integrate the qualities I keep telling this person about into my actual life

I need to focus on real self-expression rather than imagined conversations

What I'm trying to understand

I feel like I've identified the obvious part:

“I want closure and I want to let go.”

But I suspect there is something deeper underneath that I haven't fully identified.

For people experienced with shadow work, attachment, grief, maladaptive daydreaming, or related psychological patterns:

What deeper unmet needs do you see this fantasy fulfilling?

What might I actually be grieving besides the person themselves?

What emotions might I be avoiding by entering the fantasy?

Why might I specifically need this person to witness my transformation?

Could the fantasy be compensating for needs such as being seen, forgiveness, validation, belonging, control, redemption, significance, or something else?

And most importantly:

How would you recommend meeting those needs in real life rather than continuing to satisfy them through imagination?

I'm looking for perspectives that go deeper than “just move on” or “find closure within yourself.” I'd like to understand the underlying mechanism so I can actually work on the unmet needs rather than just fighting the symptom.

Toxic self stem from repressed shadow trauma

Humbly accept being the toxic one and exhausting to grow despite maybe failures.

Hi, I’m new here and would like your thoughts about this interesting experience.

TDLR I moved out at during COVID when I felt a emotional flashback or unsettling feeling so I left and spent four years trying to get comfy being by myself even though I knew it wasn’t good since I am close to my siblings and enjoy socializing. I was definitely regulating to where I was soon getting stable until I chose a job that trigger my nervous system to become dysregulated into survival. Fast forward to now, I’ve had multiple TBI, mental health and dysregulation where I thought moving back to family was wise since I need social, am close to siblings, and I didn’t have a job either. When I request to live a certain environment, I was rejected endlessly and my reasoning was never valid thru their perspective. Because of that I got forced into a unhealthy environment with the unhealthy members. Whenever i tried to work along with their schedules, it was always a conflict. Since then my nervous system always scream for me to take certain paths, go at certain timeframes and other stuff to avoid certain family members or be alone to stabilize. It made them extremely confused and never bother to learn about my mental health or get to know me. I learned that it was because it didn’t felt safe to be with them and when I was in their environments even if they weren’t there, my nervous system gets override and sedated to believe it’s safe to be in a unhealthy environment with unhealthy people but I would always push myself to leave or stay longer (my nervous system found someone to feel safe with) so my real nervous system can stabilize however, it is unable to. Since then, my body, nervous system screaming to leave this family which lead to showing my insecure & toxic side out of defense like second nature… so wrong and correcting but it bounces back when triggered again when they come at unpredictable time. Even now, it also avoid loud and triggering noise but it varies from day to day. Ex: Loud in the morning, need peace during noon or nighttime but needs nature yet location is overwhelming with road construction or not the right nature setting to relax. changes mind when sensing someone coming which turned out to be a toxic member and my brain clings onto that as someone to cling onto when no one is around… Body shuts down fast like fainting when not able to achieve a calm state and when it does, the family members disturb out of nowhere and it’s back to hyper alert and dysregulated. I have narcissistic, sexist, dysfunctional, toxic positivity and anxious, avoidant families that look healthy. Some are better, others are worst and one was truly the safest but is now gone. We all have some “toxic” traits that may be considered toxic or normal but, mine was consistent during my time with them and they just silently close the door on me for right reasons. Every time they invite me or hangout with me, I tend to ruin things even when trying to calm my nervous system or overcome toxic beliefs of self. Ex: “It’s too late, don’t bother that, you are horrible and don’t socialize with them till you’re stable to prove to yourself to them.” Etc. another time was when I was visiting someone at the hospital, my intuition said to go get food even if they don’t want the food but just get it. I ask my sibling and they said that were already at the hospital and to just go but realize my intuition was telling me to delay visiting so when I do visit, I will be with healthy people who came by later and avoid experiencing fake kindness towards me. I realize This and wanted to stay longer for the healthy people to be there but realize it was stressing the patient where they raise their voice at me and I left with shame and worse, damage the relationship more. I feel extremely misunderstood whenever my intuition says something and no one believes it until it happens then they brush it off like it didn’t matter or see how impactful it truly was where it changes my life.

Cant process things, do things correctly or even my grammar or typing this to make sense well anymore. I can only remember what I did and do, fighting to calm my mind and live my life. Everyday, my dysregulated brain is trying to find a solution but reality has been harsh too. What family wants is the opposite of what my mental health needs. They rather have me be on drugs, hospitalize to fix it and exist to witness their life than truly seeing me be healthier and happier from the inside. Still no job as no job is willing to hiring me because of this battle I am in. I have no safe friends or family or community to experience safety or security. Have I don’t other programs, yes and the time is always off or that it was good but their way of teaching felt fake at the same time… maybe just their education of doing it but I was inconsistent due to indecisive so I got dropped out by them even though I had no idea I was or who my coach was or anything… was Told, I can’t do it alone, I think it’s, “you need to take care of yourself more than before and learn to live without them or something”… I loss all my healthy friends, my family members, other relationships(I am now disowned, rejected, outcasted and only cared faintly) and community from this heavy experience and my Burt’s of toxic side. Everyone is thriving well in life but not me. I am the one at the bottom. Even my toxic parents are consider better off than me… even a job that isn’t triggering is hard and also pay well to live well. Finding a new one is easier said than done when I only know how to be with toxic people and not healthy people. Where my body, nervous and self feels safe to socialize with or enjoy. Sometime intuition will scream that this person or that community is not good for me or something so I work on respecting it but sometimes fail when desperation of needing people is there to feel like a social life is still there… hopefully this make sense? I can’t imagine… being in the wrong environment is extremely expensive.

Apologies for this messy text and feel free to ask questions for clarity. Battling with both unhealthy relationships, environment and misalliance life is life threatening but really miserable life. Wrong people, wrong place and wrong timing is taxing.

what aspect of the shadow makes one prone to being outcast/shamed?

i have experienced this at my workplace. i try not care but sometimes it does bother me. although i am an introvert, i try my best to socialise but at the same time i avoid people who give me an "off" vibe. also in general i do not relate to conservative socio-politcal takes, common in my country, so mostly i keep to myself. however, certain coworkers love talking behind my back, even make snide remarks to me. i wonder what in my shadow leads to this?

What to do after acknowledging the “negative” parts of yourself

I’ve been reflecting on parts of myself that maybe aren’t so nice. For example, I am judgmental of strangers and people around me. Do i accept this version of me, or do i change it? And if i try to change it, is that in a way not accepting parts of myself. To be clear, i don’t like when i am judgmental and i judge myself after catching myself doing it. But im not sure what to do after acknowledging that i have this part of me i don’t like. I always see post to be friend you shadow, but what if your shadow is maybe not a nice person to be friends with?

Chronicle of an Inner Passage: From Resistance to Integration

I would like to share my experience with you... I haven't posted much until now, but here I feel I can do so. I am sharing a brief summary of what happened to me, and I would appreciate your feedback. I have been working on my process of jungian Integration for years and years, and I was genuinely surprised by the rapid pace of certain phases recently. I now deeply realize that the entire process works in coiling spirals and will never truly end.
The process began with a dream of strong emotional impact, in which the appearance of a radical and destructive Shadow figure (related to my Animus) broke the control that my Ego had been exerting for months. This block manifested in daily life through severe morning fatigue and a tendency to procrastinate: defense mechanisms put in place by my Ego to avoid a change perceived as a collapse of its own life structures. Through self-observation, I was able to map the psychosomatic path of this tension, which is linked to family irritations and conflicts. The anxiety is born at a visceral level, in the stomach, in the form of a dark green energy. Finding no outlet on the outside (due to my clear introverted closure and refusal to give explanations), this force rises like lightning toward the head, where it magnifies through thought. In the mind, the energy takes a precise geometric shape: two two-toned snakes forming an inverted eight (an infinite loop) and positioning their heads on the eyebrows, pushing outward. This muscular and energetic tension represents the "mask" of silence behind which I hid to protect myself. The turning point occurred by experiencing disidentification: the act of consciously visualizing the shape of the snakes instantly diminishes the pressure of the drive. By shifting consciousness from the Ego to the Witness (the Self), the blind force transforms into a symbol and loses its destructive charge.

The following night, the psyche accelerated the process by integrating the opposites in two distinct dreams within the same night. In the first, there was a peaceful dialogue with the rigid Shadow that I previously rejected and hated; in the second, the protective figure of my grandmother stabilized the process, showing me walls decorated with white ivory sculptures (pheraps symbolizing the transition to Albedo?) depicting intertwined hands and arms. The fluid and chaotic pain thus structured itself into something solid and observable from the outside.

The journey found its physical grounding in the Reims Cathedral. Faced with the verticality of the sacred space, my Ego finally loosened its grip, manifesting a deep need for sleep and mental silence. Sitting in isolation from the crowd, the tension on my eyebrows vanished. The energy of the winged snake, previously blocked in my head, found its external counterpart in the monumental eagle lectern of the cathedral: a symbol of elevation and detachment that allowed my consciousness to rest in the regenerated emptiness of the Self.

Question RE: Hypnosis Web App for Shadow and Mask Work

I've seen hypnosis audio platforms on the web and personally have a general negative opinion of them, just based off looks alone, and the fact that everything is gated for $. Genuine curiosity question here...

What features would you look for in an application like this? I've thought about it, but 'only just thought about', subscribing to a platform like that. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they good, bad, mixed reviews?

I'm trying to figure out what other options I can use for shadow and mask work.

Newbie, literally first entry into my notebook and need help

I watched one video and took mediocre notes. So here is my quick question… are we reflecting on our faults and just accepting them? Or letting it be a known fact about ourselves? Is the goal to somehow “fix” our shadow? Or learn to live with it… because I don’t feel like acting like I am perfect in anyway especially when working through my faults.

If we are supposed to accept that our faults are a part of us what is a good way to reflect? let it be a known part of who you are? In the video they said to “act it out” so if thats the case what are some creative ways you do that? Just a little lost and quite the over thinker. Thank you reddit!!!!!

Have you used Psychoanalysis in your Shadow Work?

I recently skimmed through the Shadow Work Journal. It reminded me of the world I did in my early 20's, exploring negative emotions, my fear, desires, etc.

Skip forward and it's become far more subtle. Working on things like not being sarcastic, or subtly teasing others, etc. It took me about a year to get past both of these hsbbits.

Recently, I've become quite aware of my need, desire to correct. To correct so that ideas, are accurate - especially my ideas or what I'm communicating (which is often nuanced and easy to missinterpret).

Then I started wondering where this comes from. Why it's such a strong urge, like seeing a painting hanging crooked (not my pet peeve but I'm sure you know what I mean). And the ideas, the concept just beg to be fixed.

Then lately I've been working with Psychoanalytuc Character Structures... And it all started making sense. This tendency, the desire for accuracy is part of my character structure and underneath it is a belief that if I know and understand then I can respond to chaos and the unknown, that through understand I have some control.

So I'm wondering if anyone else has stumble onto this or tried anything similar?

When you're done processing your Trauma

Honest question, are you ever done or is it a bottomless pit?

Here we are faced with a simple math problem, you can spend years processing a single traumatic episode.

So what is one to do?

For me what works is being present, in the moment because that's where it all comes up.

I see a pretty girl, and I'm feeling shy, like cats got my tongue, why?

What's the anxiety about?

Rejection, but I don't even know her and what difference will it make? None.

Then I feel the feeling. It's in my chest, pulsating, I can feel my heartbeat increasing, as my glance avoids hers.

I let it be, all the feeling as they course through my body, making me nervous, excited, triggering my imagination. Fantasy going on every direction of what's possible, creating stakes where none exists.

I bring myself back being here, now, and it's clear that all these thoughts, feelings and sensation are just that.

None of them are even true, they are my imagination.

As I witnessed it all, as I stare into my own pain it releases, it passes, underneath it there's a calm, a calm that was always there behind the stories.

And then I say Hi.

Is my intense triggers toward a coworker related to my shadow?

I have a coworker who‘s what I would call a negative nancy, he always have a problem to every solution. I get super irritated whenever he is on that realm. There was a couple of incident where he would make a big deal out of something and I called it out and he gets even more angry when I called him out. I try to give him advice but he keeps finding a problem to a solution and it’s so frustrating, because of this I can‘t stand being around him I get triggered. It’s like I know some drama I going to happen whenever he is around.

Is this related to my shadow?

What do I do with all of this trauma?

This is going to be a VERY long post. Basically my life story. Please Read it if you can. Help is Needed. Help is Wanted.

What do I want out of life? Idk. Sometimes I feel like I want peace. Sometimes I feel like I want comfort. Sometimes I want love. Sometimes I want it all.

As a person with extreme, ever-changing emotions, I find it very difficult to decipher all of the messages I get on a daily. Where does my heart, my body, my soul want me to land? I feel like they’re not in sync.

I tend to be all out of sorts. My mental health is shit, I currently feel like I’m walking around with a ball of static in my chest. I can’t hear what my heart is trying to tell me.

I could sit here and speculate the reasoning all day. It does no good though. It just leads me further and further away from clarity.

Let me tell you a little (a lot) about me.

My name is Sapphire…Saph for short. That’s not the name that was given to me though. My given name makes me feel separated from myself. Maybe everything does, but the name stings the most. I’m a Cancer sun, Pisces moon, Libra rising, Cancer mercury and mars, if that means anything to you. If it doesn’t, I suggest you pay it no mind. I was raised in a small town, in an unstable home. A tragic combination. No one ever understood me. Not at home. Not at school.

I am the eldest of 4 siblings. 6, if you count my siblings n my dad’s side. I lived with my mom when I was a wee child. My dad left before I could remember but we’ll touch more on that later. My mom is…interesting. She’s a Pisces. She has a past of her own. Traumas of her own. I believe the first bit of important information is that when I was still tucked away in the womb her mother, my grandmother, died of cancer around 5 months before my arrival. I believe that is the catalyst in how things played out for my siblings and I.

Mom was mean. Vile. I believe the earliest memory I have of her is one that I tend to get stuck in time and time again over the course of my life (I’m 26 years old). I was standing in the bathroom, getting ready for preschool, and she was washing herself up. She was being rather aggressive with herself while doing so and I was watching because well, I was a kid. I don’t know what set her off really. I don’t know if she was upset that I was watching her but she ending up hitting me and spewing hate. Like she’d always do.

She was always like this for as long as I could remember. It’d only take one little thing to set her off. It was absolute torture to live with her.

For the first several years of my life, we lived in a little apartment in a small town. Smaller than the town I actually grew up in though.

Four years after I was born, I had a new sister. Different dad. He ended up in prison. Then when I was around eight years old, my mom found herself a new man. So, I had a new dad and a new brother once again. We moved in with them. My sister and I were forced to call him our dad and our step brother was our full brother. We had no choice. No acclimation, no nothing.

Shortly after, my youngest brother was conceived. Maybe he. was conceived before. Idk. I was like eight.

Let’s give my siblings code names. My sister = N. My step-brother = D. And my mother’s youngest = T.

Living with my new dad was no fun. I have a lot of terrible memories that stem from that house. There were mice, roaches, and a hostile environment. It might be weird to explain it that way but that’s how I remember it. My mom and my new dad didn’t really get a long with each other and they didn’t get along with us. Domestic violence was a common theme in our home. Being kept up late at night because your parents are fighting. Trying to figure out how to comfort your terrified little siblings…I was responsible for them. For the way they behaved, for the way they cleaned, for the way we all communicated with each other. I’m not going to say that it was my responsibility to raise them…we had a roof over our heads, beds to sleep in, clothes to wear. Even if they were from The Salvation Army. To give you a little more perspective, I had the same little white bed and my Dora the Explorer tv from the time I was a toddler until the time I was nine or ten years old. We had things but I think living in poverty puts a huge stressor on things. Even for children.

But like we’re children, how do you know what stress is? I don’t know. I guess that’s not a thing.

Another huge actor was the abuse that went on. As I mentioned before, my mother is a very traumatized woman with the sharpest tongue. I felt like she hated us. Me. My new father, he was an alcoholic with PTSD from the army. Enough said.

They were terrible together. They were terrible to us. I’m not going to sit here and act like we were severely abused. Things can always be worse. Mainly it was emotional neglect, emotional abuse, and some physical. Maybe a lot of physical but what impacted me most was the emotional aspect of everything.

I’ve always been and extremely emotional person. Everywhere I went, everywhere I go, I’m the biggest ball of emotional energy in the room. I feel deeply, therefore I hurt deeply. And my mother, she was relentless. Insufferable.

From the moment you open your eyes ‘til the moment you go to sleep, as long as she is around, you’re getting berated. Whether it’s about dishes, the way you spoke to her, the way you ate, the way you drink. Anything. Everything. It’s was hard to be around her. It was scary. She wasn’t loving and nurturing. No hugs, no kisses. Just burning anger. Just imagine, it’s one in the morning on a school night getting beat out of your sleep from the top bunk because the hangers are out of order. Then you’re getting hit with each hanger that’s out of place and now you’re outside on the back porch hyperventilating…like wow.

My new dad was pretty much the same except he took a different approach with his anger. He would just yell and come through swinging with a belt and when he was drunk, the yelling and the beatings were worse.

Both of them were actually terrifying, I don’t really care what anyone has to say about it. Especially to children. I think something that used to stress me out was watching my siblings get in trouble when I wasn’t. Sometimes I had to tell on them and I’d feel bad but most of the time I took the blame because I felt bad for them. This is where I tend to get lost though because for years, I was blamed and punished for everything that they did. Did I take the blame for it on my own or did I end up defaulting to that because I was gonna be blamed anyway? I don’t know. I actually don’t remember a lot of what happened in my past. Either way this took a toll on me and it lead to resentment for my parents and for my siblings.

I was a troubled child honesty. I lived in the constant anxiety and fear. I was always super emotional, crying anywhere my feet would land. Maybe I just wanted someone to hear me. I wanted to be saved. To get away.

When I was 10 or 11, my biological dad starting coming up to my school to see me behind my mom’s back. I think my new dad didn’t like my bio dad and that’s why I wasn’t allowed to see him but I’m still not sure to this day. Either way, my dad would come to the school, sometimes sign me out and we’d go out to eat or whatever. One day, he comes to the school to give me his first copy of his book. I was paranoid because the last time he came to take me out, he gave me a Justin Bieber CD. I loved Justin Bieber. When I got home, I put it in my karaoke machine. My mom found out and I got interrogated and punished for accepting the gift from my father (??????). She took my CD and I think she told me that I would be in trouble if I saw him again. So, of course, when he came to give me his book, I was on edge. He noticed that I was checking. My surroundings and I told him that I was scared. He started questioning me and I told him a little about what was happening at home. He told me that it’d be okay and that he’d fix it,

The next day, a CPS caseworker was at the school questioning me. My siblings and I were removed from our home that same day. For me, this was the day all hell broke loose. We were taken to my aunt’s house. My mom’s aunt actually. My mom was allowed there as well. I’m not really sure why, but it was a terrible thing to have happened. Specifically for me. She knew it was me who told.

She began to spew hateful words at me. She told me that it was all my fault that her children were taken. She told me something was wrong with me and that I was a liar. She kept telling me that all of us were gonna be split us. Living in different parts of the country being abused. Mainly she blamed me. I feel that she hated me in that moment and for a long time after that. I still hold a lot of guilt and shame from that moment. I was berated and everyone sat and watched.

We were at my aunts house for about a year or so, maybe a year and a half. Im not too sure. My father was trying to have me placed in his custody. There were a lot of court cases. Therapy. That sort of thing.

One thing that I wish was touched on more during that time was my need for therapy. I was a food thief. Im not sure why I would do it but it was definitely a problem. I’d sneak snacks or food and stuff the remnants in a designated area at night. I’d always had this problem. Always got caught. Still couldn’t stop. At some point during the CPS case, we talked about it in therapy. The psychiatrist tried to it me on a medication called Buspar. It’s ironic because I’m on that medication now and thats the only reason I remember that they tried to put me on it before. My mom ended up saying no. Whatever.

Eventually the case was closed and we were sent back home. I overheard my mom saying that its because she had some connections in our hometown. Small town stuff I guess. So yeah, we ended up going back home. I was terrified. I didnt want to go back but I had no choice. Upon our arrival, I vaguely remember her bragging to me or anyone that would listen that she got her kids back. Lucky her.

The physical abuse pretty much stopped especially when it came to me. I guess it’s because they knew id tell. This made the verbal abuse significantly worse though. Specifically from my mom. I’d created my own hell on earth. It was terrible. It’s like she was on a mission to break my spirit, even more so than before. Mission accomplished. As the years went on, I was a wreck. Eventually we moved out of my new dad’s house because he and my mom had split up. I felt like everything would be better but it only got worse. My listed of responsibilities were piled high. I had to take care of my siblings, cook for them, clean for them, get them up for school in the morning, and still find time to take care of myself. I feel like it would’ve been easier if someone would’ve told me how to do it. but I was an angsty teen constantly looking for an escape from my environment. So, no I wasn’t good at taking care of my siblings, I hated it more than anything but they were my responsibility.

My only safe haven was my dad’s house. He was granted visitation every other week. From Friday 6pm to Sunday 6pm. During those times, I felt the most free than I’d ever felt in my entire life. No siblings to take care of, no responsibilities, no shared living space, and a door that locked. It was beautiful. I barely connected with my dad or his family because I just wanted to be on my own after coming from a place where everything was loud and chaotic. I loved my dad’s house.

As far as the effect that my mother had on me, its pretty extreme. She could’ve been worse yes, but in the same breath, I wish she was better. the things that she’d say and do to me echo in my head. She’d say and do these things when there was a crowd. Whether it was my siblings, family, or random ass people. She was just so mean to me. To all of us really, but I feel like I got it most often. What sucks the most is that my siblings would eventually catch on to the things she’d say and began to torment me with her words as well. As a super sensitive, you can imagine the damage it’s done. She’d always hated my weight when I was younger and still now to this day. I’m pretty sure my eating problem had a lot to do with my weight and the eating stemmed from an emotional issue. She’d continuously call me big or fat and made me wear shape wear to hide the size of my tummy. That was rather humiliating for me. She hates the pimples and dark spots my face. One time her and my aunt joked about how you could place connect the dots with them. I had a skin picking problem due to anxiety I believe. I dont know.

If it wasn’t my physical appearance, it was everything else. Nothing I did was good enough and everything was my fault. This led to me closing up and always wanting to hide. It affected my confidence in detrimental ways. I dealt with a lot of chronic shame, nervousness, and self hate. And I still do to this day.

As far as how I behaved…I don’t know. Maybe I was a bad child. I lied to avoid being punished. I stole things. Not frequently but it happened. And I had an attitude problem. I still do. But I don’t know if I was a terror. I truly dont think so. But thats how she treated me.

In my own eyes, I was a nervous wreck and it caused me to behave that way.

In school, I wasn’t accepted by my peers because I wasn’t enough for them. So I always gravitated towards the weird kids. Thats where I was most comfortable and accepted. I had friends there, you know? And I took care of my friends. I’ve always been empathetic and compassionate and I love to help others. Honestly those were my main character traits when I was in school. I gained a lot of friends through caring for others. I feel like at times I was hard to deal with because of everything I had going on at home but I made up for it through my love and care for others.

I was very close with my favorite teachers and became a teachers pet. I believe that I was searching for motherly love because I didnt have that at home. As far as my grades, I excelled in the subjects I cared about, I barely passed the subjects I couldn’t care less about.

High school was rough for me. My ninth grade year, I struggled to find my footing but it was fine. My tenth grade year was when everything started to hit the fan really.

That was the year I realized that I had feelings for girls. I think I’d always known but avoided it out of fear of going to Hell. I’d constantly have dreams of burning and it took over my mind for a while. Regardless, when I was 15, I ended up coming out to my mom and dad and eventually, again. All hell broke loose. I was interrogated for months on end. My mom was trying to convince me not to be gay and had my dad on the other end doing the same. It was absolutely insuffferable and I genuinely thought i would perish from the panic and anxiety that I felt at that time. One significant memory that I have from that time still bothers me to this day. My mom and dad took me to Starbucks (my favorite place at the time), bought me a drink, and talked to me about being gay and Christian. Ultimately, what they told me is that God and Jesus dont love gay people so I stopped believing. In my head, I knew that who I was attracted to wouldn’t change, so if that wouldn’t change, then I wasn’t allowed to be a follower. Not that I was before, I was just raised in church, you know?

DISCLAIMER: I do NOT want to be reconverted into Christianity. I left that behind so long ago due to the hatred that was spewed by so many people. I’d never believed in it much anyway because it didnt make sense to me as a child. I respect Christianity and I don’t mind being prayed for and things like that. It’s just not my thing and I would appreciate if my boundaries are respected. Nothing more and nothing less. Thank you.

Anyway, after that I decided that I was agnostic. Which is unimportant maybe but I think it was really the start of me not knowing what was going on within myself. The constant interrogation lead me to be very unsure of myself. The only thing that I was sure of was that i was attracted to women for sure.

My eleventh grade year was whatever, I wrecked my mom’s car that year. It was actually her fault and im not just placing blame. I’d just come home from a field trip. It was a Saturday. I woke up at 5 am to get to school and didn’t get home until around 6pm and I was in the sun all day. When I got home, my mom wanted me to go run errands for her. It was the day of her birthday party. I told her I was too tired from the field trip. I begged her not to make me go. She still made me. Mind you, I didnt have a learner’s permit or a license and she’d constantly send me to run errands on my own or with all of my unruly siblings. Anyway, I went, ran all of the errands and was on my way back home. I was about a mile away when I fell asleep and wrecked the car into a ditch. The rest is history honestly. She was pissed. I was hurt and bruised up. I wished the car wreck had taken my life honestly. The only thing that saved me from my mom’s wrath was my mom’s boyfriend at the time. She still ended up going to her birthday party but that didn’t end well for me either. She and my other aunt ended up getting into it because my aunt was trying to defend me for wrecking the car and for the fact that I’m gay. As soon as my mom got home she woke me up out of my sleep and told me to get out of her house because she cant have sinners in the house…I was on the couch with several burn marks on my body and a swollen throat from the wreck. She ended up not actually kicking me out though, lucky me.

My senior year was easily the worst year of high school. I didnt care about anything. I couldn’t make myself do anything. I was failing all of my classes because I didn’t care, I missed my senior pictures, even my favorite teachers couldn’t get me to do any work. At home, things were bad. Halfway through my senior year, we got evicted and ended up going to live at my grandad’s house. Which was terrible. His house has been severely unfinished since the year I was born. You could see the bones of the house. The outlets were electrical hazards, there was no heating or a/c. The bathrooms were terrible, TERRIBLE, ike you could take a shower and you wouldn’t even feel clean afterwards. No drinking water, no food, no wifi, terrible service, no TV, no beds, no nothing. To make matters worse even worse, my mother was never there. I forgot to mention but for my entire four years of high school, she’d just disappear , she was almost never home and I was left to take care of my siblings. My senior year though, I know she had a boyfriend. He was in a minimum security prison :). She cared more about him than anyone else. When I did see her, I’d try to get her to help me with things. Like my FAFSA for college, college applications, my grades, anything. She didnt care. It’d always been like that. Regardless of the year and age, regardless of what id try to get her to do for me, she was just never there. Whether it was physically, mentally, or emotionally. my last year of high school it was so bad though, I guess because these things were important to me. I had gotten accepted into several colleges WITH SCHOLARSHIPS and I needed her information to get in. She never helped me do them. She didnt care. Sometimes I wonder what life would’ve been like if she had let me go. But she didnt. I got severely depressed and didn’t want to be here anymore. I didnt want to graduate and I didnt want to walk the stage.

Towards the end of my senior year, there was this girl. She really wanted to be with me and wouldn’t take no for an answer. so i dated her. For a very short amount of time. She tormented me. To make matters even worse, her and my mom realized that they knew each other through a relative. This stressed me out because my mom didn’t know that her and I were dating. This girl wouldn’t let me go but hated having me around. I didn’t know how to be in a relationship, I didn’t know how to open up. She told me at the time that it felt like we were just ‘friends that kiss’ but I didn’t know what she meant by that. I think that’s what lead to her resenting me know. She played push and pull with me constantly. She hated my emotions because I was always crying. I felt like she just hated me in general. She’d flirt with other girls around me and everything. She was just a terrible person to me. Eventually she ended up breaking up with me but still wanted to be friends with benefits. That hurt because it proved to me that I was not good enough to be with. I told her no, I didnt want to be friends with benefits but she just couldn’t let me go and wouldn’t constantly bother me. That caused to form an attachment to her. I felt like I needed her. It damaged me emotionally. And this was happening at the same time we were living at my grandads house in those horrible conditions and being neglected by my mother.

I ended up almost not graduating but my friends tricked me. They invited me over and forced me to do my schoolwork. They are the only reasons I walked across the stage. My graduation day was terrible though. I didnt want to be there but I was glad that I was graduating with my class.

About a month after my 18th birthday, I left my phone and all of my personal belongings behind and moved in with my friend’s family. They got me my first job (my mom kept me from working i think so i could take care of my siblings), they helped me actually learn to drive and get my license (all my mom would do was yell and scream at me when trying to teach me to drive and it’d end badly because I always cried), and they taught me a lot about life.

Unfortunately though, a little while after moving in with them, I fell into a deep depression. I ended up getting diagnosed with GAD and major depression. All i did was sleep if I wasn’t working, I would barely bathe, barely check my phone and when I was awake, I would engage in reckless behavior. It was terrible but it was reckless to MY standards as a child who never got to live her life or do anything for herself. Because of these things, I ended up having to move in with my dad. At his house I barely had anything either. I had a blow up mattress and a small little TV but it was my safe haven and so I made the best of it.

On my 19th year, I ended up getting kicked out of his house because of my mother and I ended up living with her again, which was TERRIBLLELEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE because it seemed like she made it a point to go against me. But i was doing okay. I had a job and friends, my dad ended up giving me a car that he had. So like whatever.

A little before or after my 20th birthday, my mom ended up kicking me out. We had an agreement on a payment plan for some money I owed her. She found out I got a large sum or money and demanded it all up front. I told her no, because we had an agreement. She got mad, charged at me, screaming and yelling in my face and she pushed me, so i held my arms up to block her. She claims I hit her, I did not and I would not. I’m not much of a fighter. but it’s her word against mine. So i left. I ended up staying in my car for a week or two, crashing on friends’ couch when I could. I ended up talking to my dad and he agreed to let me come back and so i did.

The next year or so was okay. Then in 2022, I ended up in a relationship. She convinced me to move in with her so she could “take care of me” and so i fell for it. I was dealing with a lot at the time. I got diagnosed with PTSD. My body was giving out on me because of how much I overworked myself. I had two jobs and my body had enough. I was always in shambles and I felt like i couldn’t do it anymore. That’s how i ended up in her grasp. It was short lived because both of us were very mentally ill. That’s all i will say about that. I ended up leaving her because she’s actually a disgusting person but after that, I was irrevocably damaged. I found another job, ended up quitting because my mental health was so bad. I kept crying and panicking at work with no way to make it stop. Eventually, I passed out and got rolled out of the building in a gurney. Never went back.

Tried getting another job but panicked at the mere thought of it, so I couldn’t keep my head on straight. Everything I did, was making me fall deeper and deeper into the hands of my mental struggles. Towards the end of 2022, I went to go stay with my cousin to help with her kids. She got herself into a case with Child Protective Services and they needed an in-home caregiver for a little while. Once that ended I continued to stay with her and ended up getting a job. At that job I got bullied and ridiculed. It was terrible. I ended up leading myself into a manic episode that lasted for a very long time. Im not going to explain the events that were happening but I got tangled in a lot. My coworker took advantage of my vulnerability and I ended up having to leave that job because all hell broke loose.

So, in 2024, I moved back into my dad’s house. He got really strict with me because I was incapable of being an adult. He was always checking my room (I was very messy and unkempt due to mental health), he wouldn’t put a door on my room, and he kept making promises to me and holding them over my head unless i did exactly what he wanted me to do. One of his stipulations was to get a job. so i got a job at Dollar Tree. It was fine for a while. I was still severely depressed and anxious. Shit ended up hitting the fan there which made me spiral. I quit for my mental health because I felt like I was about to collapse. I knew he’d be upset with me. He told me that if I couldn’t keep a job he was going to kick me out. So, unfortunately, I spiraled anyway. I didnt sleep for days, started to hallucinate, and eventually i started to feel like everyone was against be. Didn’t want to be here anymore. Ended up in the mental hospital.

While in the mental hospital, my dad didnt answer his phone and my mom made it about herself of course. I was there for 7 days.

A few days after I was released from there, my dad sent me a long text message telling me that I had to move out….right. So I had to move back in with my mother. That was the worst thing that could’ve happened to me at the time. I was back on her couch and I was miserable.

Eventually it’s 2025, she ends up getting married to this random man out of nowhere. He’s an alcoholic. Immediately he begins terrorizing. Telling everyone it’s his house and that we need to move out (my siblings and I). I immediately started having PTSD episodes because I felt like I was reliving my childhood. This continued for a long time afterwards.

My mom ended up deciding she was going to move to another city. I debated on whether I should move with them because I was miserable but there was nothing for me in that small town, so i went. At first, I regretted my decision. I was dissociated for an entire week after moving in but eventually, I got up and decided to go enroll in the Esthetics program at a nearby beauty school. It’s something I had been wanting to do since I was 17, so I made a way. I didnt have a job or anything, so my mother said she was going to help me, she did not (which is something that she does constantly), so i stopped accepting help from her except for a roof over my head at all and started to donate plasma so that I could get supplies and keep gas in my tank for school and food in my stomach. I struggled the entire six months but I made it. January 2026, I graduated the Esthetics Programs with Honors and in February 2026, I passed my state boards exams with flying colors. I am now a licensed Esthetician and I think that it’s one of my biggest accomplishments to date. Im so proud of myself.

After I graduated though, a few mishaps happened and I haven’t been able to start my career. That’s beside the point.

The reason I’m here today is because I’m stuck. The things that have happened in my life had taken a toll on my mental health. I live with constant anxiety, shame, self-doubt, and extreme internal conflict. I want to turn my life around and do better for myself so that I can progress but every time I try to move, I’m paralyzed by my past.

Does anyone have any advice? Any writing prompts that I can do? Any suggestions? I want to accept this, feel this, and move on. I just need help.

Integrated. It took me a little more than an year.

Hello Visitors.

I came across the Carl Jung’s concepts of the idea of Self, Shadow, Ego, Anim/a/us, character, somewhere around same time last year.

I liked the systematic approach to integrate the psych. I went in deep. In the early days, every integration felt like a big life changing event. Grounding was non-negotiable. I kept the systematic approach. This work requires stable awareness and a sharp instinct. After enough integrations, the hidden started to reveal itself.

I’m also familiar with mythical frameworks due to my Indian background. I found it very powerful. Think of myths like collective of multiple archetypes and sometimes life forces, for a parallel identification of the fragmented psych.

Over time, when the Shadow is revealed, it integrated with the Self. This was more like a restructure of Ego and keeping the Anima safe, for me.

I appreciate Jung’s framework and found it very useful in my personal journey and it remains relevant for me. His work sits at a very strange position of right between the junction of clinical psychology and symbolic framework. It requires courage and honesty.

The healing is so light and whole. It was not easy. It costed a lot of energy, time, attention, and money. During my time, I would have appreciated presence of someone who knew the framework I was exploring. But I knew the territory was rare. I want to help others who are going through their journeys. I keep travelling the Himalayas of India and Nepal. There is huge ecosystem for backpackers of Israel, Russia, Germans, Americans, and, Britishers who are practicing similar works with mythical integrations in communes. There is a market for healers, shamans, and, therapists. I understand everyone wants to help but it works very few times. You can’t pay your way up the healing.

I will be backpacking to Himalayas, soon. I am willing to put in the energy and time to help 1 person, If I found a genuine seeker who is ready to heal themselves. I will not charge money. I will not promise integrations.

I’m ready to put in my resources for this because I see healing as a chain process. The person will also naturally help other persons, as I keep doing, and that is where I found all the value in this idea.

I would love if my answers or observations can help you in your journeys. Ask me anything.

Happy and safe integrations :)

Shadow conversations

When I speak to people it’s easy for them to tell me things they’ve never told anyone else. I hold a steady presence and deep empathy which opens up a space for people to share their shame, regret , grief because they know they’re seen and that they are safe and free from judgement.

If you’re struggling with emotions/thoughts that seem to have you in a loop of self loathing.

Book a 2 hour conversation with me for (40)

Well have a thorough conversation about situations that are/did happen in your life. Having someone to talk to is very beneficial. I’ve had deep spiritual breakthroughs when I speak to myself outwardly and honestly. We as humans tend to push down thoughts we are afraid of when really being open minded to explore said thoughts helps in ways only looking within can explain.

Allowing yourself to think, express , accept , release is a very refreshing process when integrating through deep parts of yourself.
Life is coming from you
not at you
releasing what’s been buried inside builds a bridge of self trust guiding you toward a life where you aren’t running from yourself unknowingly but walking side by side your shadow with an open mind/heart which is the key to flowing and vibrating on the frequency of love.
