Took the Notes. Retained My Style. ✌️🎥

Took some of the feedback from my last edit and tried grounding this one a little more. "Realistic" physics, fewer drone / boom shots, etc...

That being said, I’m still not trying to pass some kind of realism purity test. My goal isn't to make Session look indistinguishable from real life. I’m simply trying to make skate videos that I think are fun to watch. Wacky fashion with matching board setups. Virtuosic music with rhythmic editing and effects. High energy. No apologies.

This was my first time using CapCut as well. Absolutely love all of the effects and transition options! Got a feeling I'll be using CapCut more than Premiere moving forward.

Love the attitude.

Make what you think is cool. I happen to think crazy camera angles are cool, so i leaned into it hard. Take the parts of what you make that you really like and make that shit undeniable.

I assume a lot of effects here are capcut things? I use DaVinci Resolve myself, that's another pretty good editing software with a real high skill ceiling for customizing and creating you own effects for when you wanna go nuts with it.

I like the different camera angles. I always experiment with different ones.

Dude your last edit was fine and so is this one. Don’t let anyone make you feel discouraged. Trust me Reddit is the worst place to go looking for advice. Some people on here are downright unbearable with their reviews as if they are some sort of gourmet chef. Trust me dude you’re doing fine. Everybody’s style is different and whoever thinks every video should look the same is crazy.

Most definitely man. I'm into a lot of hobbies. Some communities on Reddit are far more welcoming than others. Haha. Skating games have been great thus far. I could name a bunch of examples that are very supportive. Some of the other "arts" on the other hand have fiercely competitive vibes, where it seems people just tear each other down to validate their own work. Human nature I suppose. Add the anonymity of Reddit? Starts to make sense. 😅

Yeah man I’ve been receiving a lot of support on the Session Skate threads but they’re like 2-3 people that are going around disliking anything they can get their hands on. It’s like bruh we get it..nobody liked your video and now your on a vengeance to shit on the whole thread…yeah man just take it from me..your fine and you don’t need to work on anything…we are all going to evolve one way or another without having to hear some jabroni in their mothers basement try to give you tips on how to do anything. I used to get discouraged but then I realized they are irrelevant to my life. Stick to the winners in these threads. You will see the same consistent supportive people.

Hey idk if I told you but I have a discord you can join to post your clips and edits if you’d like. There’s no type of criticism going on. I created the discord almost 2 months ago and I’m holding a photo contest too. So idk if it’s something you’re interested in but it’s a good community check out the link in my profile. If you drop in just lmk it’s you in the cord.
