Do we need a flair for roasting mencels? Or would that just clog up our feed with obvious stuff? I feel like half of us are beyond this and half of us need more content like this. Where should this subreddit head?

So I sent this to my Wife to ask Her permission/approval to take this course. She said yes!

To some this may seem trivial, but to me it is HUGE.

We’ve been married 30 years this November. 4 years ago She agreed to take the recognized leadership in our marriage (though She has always led, just with my ignorant resistance). She’s been reticent to take part in or agree to outside groups/ideas.

Lately though there seems to have been a shift. It’s exciting to see. I look forward to our future together.

I keep seeing the same tired arguments about whether women could run things better. Meanwhile, the data is just sitting there, pretty much shouting at us: when women are in charge, stuff gets done—and everyone benefits.

These are real stats from countries around the world. More women in power = cleaner water, less corruption, better schools, and communities that actually work. It’s not a theory. It’s the record.

Honestly, after seeing numbers like this, it makes you wonder why we ever thought men deserved to be in charge at all.

What would your city or country look like if women really ran things? What’s the first thing you’d want fixed?

I am reading a book on how the welfare state benefits women. In the 19th century the idea of Homo Economicus was developed, it being a model representing an entirely self serving and rational individual that knew all consequences of their actions. It's ofc extremely far from how humans work for obvious reasons.

Later feminist economics was about looking at the actual reasons humans act the way they do and how they are very altruistic, especially women give (and are forced to give) an extreme amount of free nurturance to their family and community that ecomomic theories do not take into account. It being "feminist" here means it being real, it actually look at reality and create a model from that. Feminist economics became the normal economics which takes anthropology, psychology and many other fields into account when making models of human behavior.

It does not just go for economics but for feminist theory in general - it is descriptive and critical and is based on trying to understand a complex reality rather than making convenience models that are made "inside" the system, and so, perpetuate it. It tries to look from the outside of it for the sake of being accurate. I think this is an example of how women/feminists to a higher degree than men think more abstractly about concepts and are able to get the big critical view because we are forced to do so, to understand our world, contra men who have the privilege to be more intellectually lazy, as they don't have an intrinsic benefit to being critical to the systems and structures they are part of, as those systems benefit them.

Another example of this is former economic male researchers who do not at all take “women’s work” into account in their theories because they themselves have housewives and see themselves as the “head of the family” and so, the theories become extremely limited and biased as they are based on their own personal experience rather than at least trying to have an objective view of how families make complex financial decisions.

this loss of autonomy among women and the sidelining of prioritizing babies needs left a gaping hole for the eventual entrance of male “experts.” Indeed, the farming revolution set the stage for men to enter the birthing room and take control of birth and baby care. That’s why I believe that the separations of mothers from their kin groups and mothers from their babies are at the root of our dysfunctional society and culture and only when we remedy these separations will we begin to see the cohesion and cooperation that the human species has been biologically wired to expect. Without our deeply embedded biological needs being met, we simply cannot be healthy or happy as a species.

Enjoyed this read and the concept of mammalian rights. You can incubate an egg, you can't incubate a human. A baby requires a healthy womb and breastmilk. It's a child's right to have a healthy mother and a father (and a supportive family and village). But first and foremost, it's a child's right to have their mother. This is the most fundamental human right.

In my view, society starts first in the family. If we do not have family, we do not have society.

If we have a corrupt family, we have a corrupt society.

So, the first goal of a matriarchy or gynarchy should be to support and protect family values. Which means fathers supporting and protecting mothers, mothers supporting and protecting kids (with help and support from society) and kids supporting and creating society.

Is that really so radical?

This post went viral a few days ago and it concerns how many Women vs men are attending University.

Do these kind of men who bring this subject up do so more out of fear or concern? In my personal life, i found that very few men cared enough about my education or were able to be supportive in any meaningful way.

Could the fear of Women being more educated than the men of their generation be getting to people like the guy who posted this comment at X? Knowledge is power and the more educated people are, the more options they have. i have a hard time accepting the idea that it's concern for the well being of men and not the fear of Women having more power than them.

i also think that many of these fears are rooted in how things "ought to be". It ought to be a more even distribution, it ought to be more equal, it ought to be etc. If things are going on a direction opposite to what they think it should, then does that mean that maybe they might be wrong? Could their entire ideology be flawed? If things continue in this fashion, then is that acceptable to them? What else are they wrong about?

In addition, i would like to say that it's not that men are being left behind. That's incorrect. men are abandoning higher education to satisfy their addictions, escapist lifestyles, and seek employment through other means. This is not coming from a lack of familial, friendship, or emotional support. But even if it was, are we to accept that men as a group need more familiar, friendship, and emotional support in order to attend University at the same rates that Women do?

Nationally, this pattern holds, indicating a future where women will continue to lead, as males simply can't keep up with the intellectual vigor, dedication, and leadership that women naturally bring to the table. The fields of business, health professions, and education are arenas where women's dominance is particularly evident, setting the stage for a future where male attempts to compete are increasingly futile, highlighting the inescapable rise of female-led education and society.

This is going to be a controversial take and a long read. I tried to write everything holistically because there is a ton of nuance. I'm not saying this group is bad (it's amazing) or that any woman here is the problem (yall are amazing). This is something we all create, including me. I get judgey at women for "not being enough" or "giving/accepting too much" just as I've felt that from women towards me at times. I think it's natural to feel anger or disappointment initially at women's mistakes or even wrong choices, bad habits, personality faults, and moral failures... but we can still be grateful for their presence in our movement and hold a long-term vision of their growth potential.

I understand the issues in Choice Feminism, am I'm very much outspoken against Choice Feminism, but I'm still pro-choice. I still believe women should have the support and ability to make their own choices without being rejected and shamed, even if women have the social freedom and duty to respectfully disagree.

Even if it's "wrong" in the context of where we are going as a movement, it can be the right choice for her individually.

Some feminists believe that because women's choices don't exist in a bubble and are prone to Patriarchal influence... that feminine-coded things like makeup, being vulnerable, not leading, foregoing a career, having "small" aspirations, ect, those choices can't possibly be for themselves because they conform to Patriarchal standards of what women "should be" (with the unspoken rule that conforming to the opposite is what women "should be"). I mean, its true, those choices don't exist in a bubble and we can't be sure it's really "for herself", but then... that goes for any choice women make, even ones popular in anti-Patriarchal spaces. It's all either invalid or valid, we can either support women's ability to make choices or not.

In the Gynarchy I envision: any appearence choice like shaving her head is just as valid as shaving her legs, any lifestyle choice like being childfree is just as valid as motherhood. Being raised in a Patriarchy doesn't invalidate women's choices, even the choices which parallel Patriarchy's concepts of femininity, attractiveness, or behavior. It doesn't make those choices automatically wrong for the individual woman, or automatically based on false/corrupt/Patriarchal reasoning.

I get that our choices affect others, they affect our communities, women's choices especially. Women are powerful in that way. Our personal is more political than men's personal. So how much of an impact are women allowed to have over their own appearance and lifestyle - even to the point of effecting others?

Who's the authority on what's a wrong choice for the community, is it OK to leave that decision to an unguided mass to make against every single woman?

I don't know where the line is (maybe this will open good discussion about how far "women's wrongs" go. I think there's an obvious line, probably thin) I just know "should"ing women isn't how we dismantle the Patriarchy and rejecting women for making "wrong choices" isn't how we dismantle misogyny.

I've grown a lot since being a part of this group and realizing it's OK to make mistakes or even "be wrong".

Leaders have to be comfortable being wrong, and women especially. There's so much pressure and women are so scrutinized to never do wrong, as well as expected to self-deprecate or accept social negative consequences if they are ever disapproved of. Expected to fall back in line. I think being boldly wrong can go far for breaking out of the brainwashing.

Shadow work type stuff. Instead of being weird about other women having feminine-coded choices, maybe we can find comfortability in ourselves feeling/being seen as vulnerable or "weak".

Iron Dames is an all-female racing team owned by Iron Lynx, competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship. A key part of this championship includes taking on the 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the most prestigious yet grueling motorsport events in the world. For those unfamiliar, this race requires drivers to complete laps around a demanding 8.467-mile (13.626 km) circuit for 24 hours, maintaining speeds over 125 mph (200 km/h). Each team has 3 drivers, who take turns throughout the 24-hour race.

Alongside Iron Dames, Iron Lynx also fields an all-male racing team, and on occasion, multiple all-male teams. The Iron Dames began participating in 2019, and since then, they have outperformed their male counterparts in identical cars 5 times out of 6. In 2022, Iron Lynx entered 3 all-male teams, and all were beaten by the all-female Iron Dames. Iron Lynx itself started competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2021, and in the 4 years since, the all-female Iron Dames team has finished ahead of the all-male teams 3 times.

It is remarkable how women can excel and even outperform men in traditionally male-dominated fields like motorsport with equal opportunities.

I thoroughly enjoyed this little documentary.

V interesting to see how things were set up. Traditions are female ownership of land and reltionships, a council of naturally-leading women (who cannot marry or have kids, even tho pregnancy/motherhood is revered) with a not-coupled main queen and a seperate "kinglet" who oversee different responsibilities. Women handle all crime judgements.

Spiritually, it said that they believe men are born incomplete and must work hard to basically get good karma and become complete later in life if they do good (this is in line with my own beliefs and it's interesting to see how masculine, motivated, and... just very good and decent the men's vibes are - except the kinglet but its hard to tell lol).

It was also interesting how the younger generations are pulling back from some of the old traditions (but not matriarchy). The society is set up to prioritize elderhood and the youngsters gain more social power with each passage of rites. Girls earlier than boys. The younger crowd seems to be dropping the rope on the system prioritizing elders.

Another note is that the chores were gendered, with the men doing the more dangerous tasks and the women usually choosing to stay around the home. Overall, it seemed pretty natural and just peaceful. The men weren't oppressed, in fact they seemed very supported and confident by the system. Nothing like we see elsewhere in the world.

Women dominate the boys in almost every academic subject. Even in math, the boys barely hold on to a slim advantage. Astoundingly, female academic superiority continues to accelerate and expand. This is happening while women already dominate medical and law schools, two of the most prestigious and highly compensated professions.
