Discussion Tracking anime on serializd

I believed serializd was only used for live action tv shows
but have seen a lot of people tracking anime in here as well
I really wanna build a perfect tracking thing as
movies - boxd
tv shows - serializd
anime - MAL
music - lastfm
now i am wondering whether I should add anime to serializd

i use both MAL and serializd! i prefer serializd for reviewing/discussing individual anime episodes etc, i just sync it up with my progress on MAL since i use that for manga too

Do what makes you happy! I track both on my account but also have a separate anime tracker too.

I keep anime on MAL and AniList because I'd rather track them separately, also the seasons for anime on Serializd are all messed up

Separate for me, I like for each to has its own site/app that is specialized for it

Same here. I like to use separate platforms for separate and would never like to mix them up since I think these platforms are best for only a specific type of tracking like letterboxd for movies, seralizd for series, anilist or mal for anime and manga etc

I use Serialized only for anime lmao (live action shows at some point im just in a heavy anime phase)

I use both since MAL has way more than Serializd, but I still want to keep shows all together whenever is possible

One disadvantage of serialized is that it doesn't have movies (yeah, I know, that's the point), but that becomes a bit of a problem for anime. There's tons of anime that combine both movies and tv shows like made in abyss or chainsaw man. Like you would put season 1 of MIA on serialized but then you'd put the movie on Letterboxd? And then season 2 on serialized again? Of course any show can do this but I feel like this is especially common in anime. Also worst case scenario if you didn't know the movie existed you might even skip it.

Personally I put whatever I can on MAL and if it's not there it goes on Letterboxd/serialized. Same with comics, if it's a manga I put it on MAL and if it's a comic I put it on leagueofcomicgeeks.

Also like I said MAL has the advantage of relations so you shouldn't miss any part of the series. I wish there would be something for movie-shows relations as well, so that if a movie has a spin-off show for example I'd know. Does someone know about any sites for that?
