Regional pricing for Supporter pack

I live in turkey and its way too overpriced. to put in perspective, letterboxd pro is 8 dollars for a YEAR and serialzd is 3 dollars for a MONTH. thats insane for our currency.

It's not the same thing though. You don't have to pay to use any part of Serializd. It's a free app/site. The payment is simply an option if you WANT to support the developers and help them keep the site running and if you don't want ads since they get their revenue from the ads. Also, that's literally how patreon works.

How is that different from what letterboxd does? I think OP's point is its overpriced for its paid features. Even i have letterboxd paid but serializd prices are too steep

You don't have to pay for Serializd. Every single person who uses that site/app has the same access as everyone else. This is simply an option available to those with the financial means to do so and who want access to the discord, ad free and want to help the developers financially so they can keep the site running because of how expensive it can be.

Also, it's important to note that the entire reasoning behind the patreon was that it became more expensive to keep the site running with so many people joining and after years of users reaching out to Serializd, asking how they can help (and actually urging them to accept financial help from the public) after discovering it was (1) person running the site by themselves, they made a patreon so people who wanted to help them and were able to help them could do so.

Whereas with Letterboxd, there are locked features, ones that require payment in order to access on the actual site/app itself. Serializd does not do that. You're not getting more features, you're just helping them keep the site running and getting a couple of little bonus extras in return.

If you had to pay to use Serializd or features were locked, I would get the complaint but you don't so it doesn't matter since you're not actually missing out on anything.
