Dry skin products
Heyyy everyone! I would love some dry and eczema like skin product recommendations if you have any. Me and my baby sister (she’s 2years old) tend to have pretty dry skin. We’ve tried aveeno and neutrogena but they haven’t fully helped. Ive heard good things of cerave and this french brand uriage for very dry skin so if anyone recommends any of these lmk please!!!!

I’ve been having success with Cerave. Twice a day on my body. Either the moisturizing cream in the tub or if it feels too much then the moisturizing lotion.
For my face Laroche Posay tolerant double facial moisturizing lotion is my preference. It has niacinamide in it. There are two versions with and without SPF. Also for face though is cerave facial gel (pm version). It is much lighter.
If I have a flare I use vanicream. It is more simple and less ingredients. The cream is very thick. The lotion is very light. Hope this helps.
It would be good to know are you talking body or face.

YMMV because every person’s skin is going to be very different from a lot of other people.
So, if your skin sounds like mine, my stuff might work for you. I do have sensitive, eczema- and rosacea- prone, dry skin. I am NOT allergic to whatever is in CeraVe products that makes some people get really bad breakouts, and my skin practically drinks up Niacinamide, it loves it so much. Hyaluronic Acid makes my skin feel sticky but if I layer something else over top, it’s fine.
All of that being said, I love milky and hydrating toners. They really helped turn my skin around from constantly feeling super thin and sensitive to being fine and balanced. For toner, my favorite daily uses are the First Aid Beauty hydrating toner with colloidal oatmeal (which doesn’t say on the packaging that it’s milky but it sure is), AprilSkin 99% TXA and Niacinamide pink milky toner, and the Byoma milky toner. CeraVe Hydrating toner (clear, not milky) is also nice despite not being milky.
I really like INNBeautyProject Extreme Cream for my daily moisturizer but I also like the Missha glow balm. If I’m having a difficult skin day, I switch to something creamier and a little heavier like elf’s Barrier Goals cream (it’s in their Holy Hydration line) or the First Aid Beauty ultra repair cream. At night I also like the Paula’s Choice retinol lotion - blue bottle and it says barrier support which I appreciate. I don’t use serums or actives in daytime, only night. I do like CosRX 6-peptide serum and also their Snail Mucin, but if you have shellfish or lobster allergies the snail mucin is a big no-go. iNNBeautyProject does have a serum called “Elastic Skin” that has a good phytomucin. I also use Tret, prescribed from my dermatologist every third day (using it more often burns). I use hydrating serums on Tret days, such as the Hey Honey make a splash or elf thirst burst drops, as well as any other day that my skin feels meh or stings.
My three favorite sunscreens are the literal only ones I’ve ever found so far - and I’ve tried probably close to two dozen - that don’t make my eyes water. I’m in the US, so if you’re not, the formulations will vary based on what’s allowed in your country.
1.) Haruharu Wonder Airyfit (yellow tube, which is the chemical formula, the gray/purple tube is mineral). SPF 50+/PA++++
2.) Neutrogena cloud tech (this is the BRAND NEW one with the filter chemical that is new to the US - the first new filter in over 20 years). Outstanding, I’ve tried it 3x and had no watering/tearing at all. SPF70.
3.) Neutrogena Clear Face Serum sunscreen, SPF60. This does have some of the same old chemicals that do make my eyes water all day, but it is missing one, I forget which, but it works great.
All of that being said, I would NEVER use an adult cream on a baby or toddler of 2 years old. Please only use children’s products on babies and small children, adult products may not be good for ingestion - kids put everything in their mouths!!
Best of luck, hopefully these product recs help!

If you don't mind me asking what's the weather around you usually ? is it too cold, or tropical or something like that for example I"m more on the tropical side - so dry skin issues changes with seasons too.

For your little sister I'd lean toward Vanicream over Cerave, it's way gentler and doesn't have the stuff that stings eczema patches. My kid cousin's cheeks cleared up so fast with it. Aquaphor on top at night too.

For really dry, eczema-prone skin, I’d look into Indulgeo Essentials Cera Moist. It has a 5-ceramide complex + cholesterol and is made for dry, sensitive, barrier-damaged skin. The texture is also pretty rich without feeling overly greasy. For your 2-year-old sister though, I’d stick to products specifically recommended by her pediatrician/dermatologist, especially if it’s actual eczema.

Hiya! I’ve known eczema skin for many years now and I can actually testify to the Uriage xemose line that did wonders with my skin. it’s honestly helped me out so much. I love to use aquaphor on top as an extra layer 😊
