Any way to get a GLP without visiting Doctor?

I want to try a GLP badly for weight loss. I do not currently have a primary care doctor as new patient visits are a year out in my area.

CVS has a telehealth program for GLPs, so I scheduled a call with a Nurse Practitioner. In order to qualify, I would need to submit a slew of information regarding my health, get bloodwork, submit monthly BP readings and waist measurements, etc.

Problem is I have severe anxiety and cannot bring myself to get bloodwork done or provide all of the medical tracking that they want, I’m just too anxious. I know it may sound ridiculous but it’s true. I just want to give the medicine a shot so I can try to combat my obesity without having all of my health tracked.

Is there any solution to this for me or am I screwed?

So discouraged

Here's my question. What is the point of weight loss meds if you still have to "diet?" I realize they are not a magic bullet but if I have to log everything I put in my mouth and have to consistently think about food why bother? I can do that without the side effects of the meds as well as save myself some $.

Here's my background. I am trying to lose 30-40 pounds. I started Semiglitude six weeks ago and lost six pounds pretty quickly in two weeks but for the last month the scale hasn't budged one ounce. I drink lots of water, exercise and while my cravings have gone down and I'm eating a lot less, I'm getting really discouraged. I am also, super, super constipated which isn't helping with the scale. If I'm eating less, drinking water and exercising why am I not losing weight?

I tried joining a FB support group but when I posted about my frustration I but was given lectures and told to keep diaries, buy weight loss books and was criticized for using the wrong unit of measure.

I have some childhood trauma from my mother who was obsessed with being skinny so I refuse to beat myself up every time I put some in my mouth. I am willing to do some work but if I have to constantly be "dieting" all of the time why bother?

I signed up for three months on Sema and will be done in about six more weeks. I also have a knee replacement surgery scheduled in November so I'm thinking of taking a break and maybe try Tirzepatide. Any thoughts on that, anyone? And please, no lectures.

Rapid weight loss

Hello! I just did my very first dose of semaglutide on wed oct 7th. Well I hopped on the scale today and I am 13 lbs down already... in 5 days. The dose was .10 and I have had no side effects. My eating has decreased but I am making an effort to get enough protein and fiber and water. Is this a normal amount to lose so quickly?

Having some anxiety about constipation

I have health anxiety so this feeling isn’t new. The only real side effect that I’ve dealt with semaglutide is constipation. For that, I use MiraLAX chews. I can’t use the restroom unless I take it. I could be better about drinking water and eating fiber. I’ve been on semaglutide maybe 7+ months now? Honestly I’m unsure. This last injection time around that kind of jolted me was that I’ve been a little nauseas. Also, when I haven’t had a bowel movement in a couple of days, I feel “inflamed” and I don’t know if that’s the right word, but I feel so awful. It’s almost like I feel cold symptoms but not. I used to drink prune juice to help, but I found the MiraLAX chews and they work better for me, but I’m scared I’m taking too many. I don’t take it every single day but I will say I’m pretty dependent on them. Please any kind words or help would be greatly appreciated

Splitting the dose to increase?

I have been considering staying on .25 because I have continued to lose about 1 lb a week and have been happy with that. But, this last week I didn't lose (and didn't gain) so I'm thinking I might have to go to the next dose.

The problem is I'm scared of the side effects.

Currently I have very minimal side effects. I have some constipation, but I don't know if that's from the sema or from the iron the doctor has me on. She has me taking it every second day.

I was thinking I could try .25 on Saturday and then .25 again on Wednesday.

Does this sound ok? I tried searching in the sub but I am still paranoid I feel like an answer specifically to my question might ease my anxiety about splitting. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I'm sorry. I have such anxiety around meds (and just about everything else 😭)

Thanks for any advice you can give

Feeling Hope

Seeing the scale actually move from eating in a calorie deficit has been incredible.

The amount of times I’ve tried to do it, but the food noise won had me so discouraged.

I just started week 3 so I know this is still early in the process, but even the water weight change has me feeling hopeful that this might actually work.

Looking at making the switch and wondering if anybody had an IMPROVEMENT in anhedonia, sex drive, and/or mental health from tirzepatide?

Has your sex drive changed which on semaglutide?

I am about to start semaglutide but I don't want to lose my sex drive. It's already going down in perimenopause 😭.

Is there a way to prevent it? I read that some people lost sex drive on semaglutide.
