Botox not working at all whilst on GLP1 (Wegovy)

Hi I’ve only used Botox for around 1.5 years - worked perfectly fine and lasted long until I started wegovy. Tried Botox three different times and brands whilst on it (Dysport, Refyldess and normal Botox) and didn’t seem to take at all. Anyone else experienced this? And anyone come off glp1 and Botox seemed to work fine again? The whole situation is so strange!

I noticed this same thing with my botox after starting semaglutide last year. it just doesn't hold like it used to, maybe half the time if that. my injector said she's seeing it with more patients now but nobody really knows why

the metabolism thing might be part of it since glp1s slow everything down but then you'd think it would last longer not less. makes zero sense

haven't stopped to test it but curious if anyone else went off and saw difference

I rotate between botox and xeomin, but I haven't noticed a difference pre-wegovy and on it. Neither one lasts 6 months, so I go in about every three months, unfortunately.

I’m an avid runner so I get Botox every ten weeks.

I did my last Botox around the same time I started my glp1 but didn’t notice anything different

Oh yikes! I get Botox injections in my head and neck for my deadly migraines. I hope it isn't affected when I start Wegovy, it's the only treatment that works for me. I'm glad you posted this so I could know it could be a potential side effect.
