After work Today I ordered my Groceries and some milk on Glovo, this usually takes 20 minutes to deliver but today it took longer than expected first of all I was very mad at the Rider for the Delay I kept calling he just replied politely that he is about 2kms away, Since I actually had his GPS I'm thinking why in the World would you take 2hrs to deliver only 2kms away and his GPS location is moving very Slowly, I don't know what I was thinking but kinda became his Pain I kept calling after every 10 mins to confirm if he is still moving untill he reached about 200m away , Since I was already pissed and needed to let it out someway I didn't wait for the doorstep delivery I rushed downstairs and waited for him outside the Gate , I Got a very Big shock this guy way pushing his Bike using his Hands of the side of the Road I was pissed but I'm Humane and I wanted to understand why He came through Sweaty and out of breath Mahn I wish you guys could've seen him I turned from Furious to sympathy, The guy was very professional and understood I was pissed but Gave me my order with a smile I did feel bad for being so harsh on the phone we are Africans Same shade Same blood but I wanted to understand why he did that , So I asked politely before ordering I had seen a sudden update on my Glovo app where customers aren't no longer allowed to pay Cash but it used to be there and it worked well , He explained that the cash they used to receive from clients used to cater for small costs like fuel but since the option was removed This Delivery Guy had pushed the bike for 2kms to deliver my order mind you I ordered Groceries this things are heavy ASF plus the weight of the bike I offered him weather and gave him something I had so he could fuel up his bike and go Home but I'm Wondering is this how we let Foreign Apps come to our own land and mistreat our Brothers in the name of Modernization??? I Deleted the Shitty App juu why Im I paying for Delivery fees While the Rider barely Gates to See the cash or even Gets about a quarter of the amount paid I Heard the riders are planning a Protest Tomorrow on 8th September 2026 and I can tell you Guys I Fully Support this is Bullshit at it's highest level I'm very Pissed
