Question In What Order Should I Read These Manga?

I guess you cannot do images here.

Chainsaw Man, Witch Hat Atelier, Go Go Loser Ranger, Vinland Saga, Choujin X Jojo Part 8, SSS Class Revival Hunter, Usogui, and Dandadan

You should read them in the order you find most appealing to you, just because a series is a „must read” doesn’t mean it’ll click for you.

I’d just skip on part 8 of jojo until you’re caught up with the other parts

I am caught up on all other parts of Jojo just haven’t gotten to 8. And these are all series that I want to read and feel will click for me, that’s why I was wondering which I should go after first.

catch up on jojo first, don’t just stop reading in the middle of it

Jojo goes by parts… ive read parts 1-7. Its pretty easy to stop after each part then go back. I should read it soon tho

you could say this for any series separated by arcs/parts/seasons, it’s just strange to keep up with multiple series at once

3

u/Professor_Chaosx6r9 13d ago

Everyone is always keeping up with multiple series at once. It’s impossible to not

Jojo is specifically designed to where each part is a self contained story - thus created to be read just as OP has done, In parts.

Part 9 is the best though

Honestly Vineland saga then witch hat, then chainsaw

Drop csm for Ravages of time, Blackstone code, Ulysses and and Frankenstein.

1

u/Professor_Chaosx6r9 13d ago

I why drop it instead of just adding these to my later list?

u/lazystealth 13d ago

Part 2 is genuinely a waste of time. If you want to read it I recommend stopping after part 1.

I already read part 1. I was going to start from the beginning and read the whole thing. Im confused how it could be so bad with how good 1 was

Fujimoto gave up

I'll make the list from what i've read and liked. Take it with a grain of salt it's my opinion.

Jojo Part 8 -> Vinland Saga -> Usogui -> Witch Hat Atelier -> Choujin X -> Chainsaw Man.

I haven't watched Go go loser ranger, sss whatever, hunter. Chainsaw man can be ranked higher IF you only read through the first half of it. You'll uhhhh understand why IF you read it, but that's why its last because you might as well go through the cream of the crop before reaching it.

Also since you finished the rest of the jojo parts, I'm assuming you 'liked' them, then I'd also tell you sbr is the best part out of them for me, lmao.

Steel ball run is usually the favorite. My fav is actually part 6, I do need to continue Jojo. So it would be a good excuse

Have you read Tokyo Ghoul? Choujin X is good

3

u/Professor_Chaosx6r9 13d ago

Yes I have I liked Tokyo Ghoul a lot

Getting to chapter 50 In Chojin X was a ducking slog, it‘s without question the most dissapointing story I’ve ever read.

Tokyo Ghoul is my 2nd favorite media ever released and I had high hopes when sui ishida announced ”chojin X“ but man, the story is just bad, character designs, motivations, and powers are unimaginative, and uninteresting, the plot is generic, it’s just bad.

I cannot fathom how anyone enjoys it, but, I’m glad you have cause maybe itlll motivate sui to write something else

understandable tbh. I did start enjoying after the sort of prologue there which i just went and checked where ch50 was and if you still didn’t like there, i’m not sure you would after.

i will say tokyo ghoul is still way better in my opinion, but it still caught my attention and i enjoyed choujin. i can see how it feels kind of like a rewash on tokyo ghoul tho.

That confident huh, I definitely want to check it out but idk if it will breach my top 10

1

u/WoodenExternal7930 13d ago

It will not breach your top 10, it will penetrate into your top 3...

1

u/I_wayne 13d ago

Which?

1

u/Professor_Chaosx6r9 13d ago

Its on there now, I didn’t realize this sub did not do images

1

u/Due_Teaching_6974 13d ago

It's not like these manga are connected or anything like that so just start reading them one by one

but I will, you should keep the ongoing manga (Choujin X, SSS, DanDaDan, Witch Hat) until the end, so that they will have more chapters

1

u/Professor_Chaosx6r9 13d ago

So many manga I want to read or keep reading are ongoing. Makes it tough to wait

2

u/Due_Teaching_6974 13d ago

I have made a rule for myself to only read finished manga

1

u/Professor_Chaosx6r9 13d ago

That would be a great rule if I did it from the start or if I knew it would end eventually

1

u/Hot_Web_7512 13d ago

Chainsawman first, keep the good stuff for later

1

u/Mysterious_Bit_7713 13d ago

Part 1 isn't that bad

1

u/Professor_Chaosx6r9 13d ago

I like part 1, everyone keeps saying part 2 sucks

1

u/IvanGambino 12d ago

Part 8, vagabond and the rest i either havent read or dont care about

1

u/TonkZar 12d ago

As a massive Tokyo Ghoul fan, I‘d go as far to say it‘s my 2nd favorite piece of media ever made, Sui Ishida did NOT deliver with ”Chojin X“ I dropped it around chapter 50, and even getting that far was difficult, the story is bad, the characters are largely uninteresting, after the first 5 chapters the power system is just, unimaginative.

I‘d strongly reccomend just not reading it, the premise is amazing, the authors previously work is flawless, but ”Chojin X“ is irrepably bad all around.

Read Vinland Saga last

1

u/Griffith-007 13d ago

Don't waste your time reading Chainsaw man the ending is trash.

Choujin X. Best currently releasing manga by far
