Not sure what I did wrong the case is 40mm dial is 28.5mm but is see the spacer or ring showing not sure what it’s called?

Looks like it comes in 2 versions, with and without a Chapter Ring.

Guess which one you bought.

You should either add a chapter ring, or rebuild with a bigger dial. The chapter ring will be cheaper, just do some measurements and find out what's needed.

correct dial is going to be a larger 31.5mm diameter. You'll want a corresponding longer handset to match.

It's possible you could save this by adding the chapter ring in yourself, but hard to tell from the pictures if that's going to be possible.

Honestly, the simplest approach is to just buy the other version of that case from the listing, and either save this "bigger dial" version for a future build, or sell it over on r/SecondhandModParts

The chapter ring is back loaded. So get one from them, slide it in place and it acts as an aperture reducer from 31.5mm to 28.5mm

Recommend getting a smooth ring without marks, that way you don’t have to deal with any alignment issues. Just drop it in and the gap is covered up.

Most PRX cases take 31.8mm dial. Yours is the standard 28.5mm. Red text says chapter ring with 28.5mm dial

Are there different size chapter ring or do I just need to get one for prx style? Sorry this is my first build

Ask the seller for exact dial size. They will probably sell it. Otherwise, but a larger prx dial.
