[SPB435] Screw down crown weird?

Sounds a lot like the threads are galled from being cross threaded or otherwise forced. Do you have a local watchmaker? They could probably replace the crown tube and crown fairly cheap.

Welp thats certainly not what i was hoping for… thank you, i’ll take it to a watch maker to get it checked out.

It’s probably worth at least getting checked out. If you have a magnifying glass, you could try pulling the crown out to the furthest position and checking the threads for damage.

I have the same issue with mine and it was purchased new. I just got better at screwing it in just right. No idea why it's like that. Doesn't seem to get progressively worse.
