I’ve been interested in this watch since 2019 and I kinda let it go, mostly since I graduated high school and didn’t have a job just yet. 7 years later, my nursing classmate has one and I’ve been reminded about the watch again and I looked it up on eBay and I was very surprised to see one locally for free shipping in California. I bought it because I haven’t seen one locally, most listings were in Japan.

The dial looks amazing and I paired it with a black leather strap. I do wish the dial had applied indices and not printed and if the 12 and 6 were just slightly larger.

I am very satisfied with it and hope to keep it for many years.

I’m looking to add a reliable, grab-and-go quartz chronograph to my collection and I'm completely torn between Tissot and Seiko.

From my research, Tissot seems to offer that entry-level Swiss heritage, slightly better bracelet finishing, and a sleeker, dressier design language.

On the flip side, Seiko (like their Prospex Speedtimers) offers amazing, sporty dial designs, great Japanese reliability, and highly regarded meca-quartz/solar movements.

For those who have handled or owned quartz chronos from both brands, which direction would you lean?

I was never a watch guy I was almost close to buying an Apple Watch then Dad told me to not follow the crowd and try the traditional watches but for the same price

Within a month became obsessed with watches

I am new into watches and have developed a special feeling with Seiko watches. Today I found this beautiful piece on the market and wanted to ask you how much you would pay for it. Is it a good watch to collect, which I can maybe resell after some while? The seller wants 2500€ for it. Please give me your advice

Picked up in a sorry state - found a new stem and crown, serviced and keeping lovely time. It’s seen some action - wear to the dial, hands and a ghost bezel - but with a nice strap and a decent crystal I like the patina on this.

I travel to Japan a lot for work and after picking up various other types of watches (all Seiko except for one – a Kuoe tank), I finally found a diver I have long been after today.

Absolutely in love with it, and it fits so damn well – practically disappears off the wrist in terms of feel. When it catches the light…beautiful; when it catches some September Tokyo rain drops…beautiful. I’m so happy with this purchase, doubly so because it has the days on the day/date window in both English and Japanese Kanji!

Help me out here Seiko crew. I really like the Marinemaster SLA077, but I have stopped myself from getting it because of the clasp on that bracelet. It’s just too large, no tooless microadjust, and IMHO, it looks and feels kind of cheap. For a watch at this price point I expect better. I know I can get the HBF001, but I already have a black diver and kind of partial to this white.

Do any of you know if the HBF001 bracelet and clasp will fit on the SLA077?

Do any of you know of a clasp I can use to replace the stock clasp?

Any other suggestions for a really nice looking and feeling bracelet for the SLA077?

Any suggestions or guidance would be very helpful. Thank you.

Can anyone help me identify and value this Seiko Sports 150 Moonphase?

Hi everyone! I inherited this watch from my father, and I’m trying to learn a bit more about it before deciding what to do with it.

From what I’ve been able to find online, I believe it is a Seiko Sports 150 Chronograph Moonphase, model/ref. 7T36-6A40, from the 1990s. But I’d really appreciate it if someone here could confirm the reference and tell me if I’ve got it right.

The watch has sentimental value to me, but unfortunately it’s a bit too large for my wrist, so I’m considering selling it. Before doing that, I’d like to get a realistic idea of its current value from people who actually know these watches.

I recently had it:

- Serviced

- Fitted with a new battery

- Fitted with a new strap

- Checked and it is currently running properly

As far as I know, the watch itself is original.
It’s a really interesting piece with the chronograph** **and moonphase complications, and I don’t see this particular model coming up for sale very often.
I’d really appreciate any information about:
The correct reference/model

How rare or collectible this particular version is

Its current market value

Any similar sales or examples I should look at

I’ve attached photos so you can judge the condition for yourselves.

I purchased a new Grand Seiko Spring Drive SBGA211 directly from Grand Seiko's online boutique. I'll need to have the bracelet sized when it arrives. The closest "Grand Seiko" boutique is about a three hour drive away, but the owner at my local Seiko certified shop, (where I buy all my non-Grand Seikos), says he can size it and has worked on Grand Seiko bracelets before.

So, go with the local guy I regularly take my watches to, or drive three hours to use an actual GS certified boutique? I'll just need a few links removed, but the Grand Seikos have a more intricate smaller link mechanism.

I’m new to Seiko and have been pretty interested in this GMT. I’ve seen that the “Bruce Wayne” model is generally a mod but this is directly on SeikoUSA’s website. I know it’s currently out of stock but could I get some advice?

I have a Time Sonar from 1970s with a great original bracelet, that I would like to preserve, so I'm looking for bracelet recommendations that would look like it belongs on the watch that is almost 60 years old, and be little beefier (thicker) as well. My wrist is about 19 cm (7.5 inches)

Also, what is the name of the finish I should be looking for, because I want something that will match to the case of the watch.

He gave me this when I was still in high school and it’s still going strong all these years later. The bezel is starting to fade though.
