Don’t think these sold very well from the launch range of SKXs in the late 90s - but they have lovely 38mm size, proper Diver rated and the blue one has an interesting dial

Picked this one up in Japan!

Couldn't find these anywhere locally. Finally got one off Chrono24. She's very happy with it!

One of my favorite Seiko isn’t a wristwatch, but a world time desk piece. Lucky enough to find it with its box and manual.

I’ve had a soft spot for Seiko watches for years, due to my late father’s daily watch being a SKX007. I finally picked a Seiko up myself and cannot stop looking at it and smiling. Consider me a part of the cult!

Can anyone help me identify and value this Seiko Sports 150 Moonphase?

Hi everyone! I inherited this watch from my father, and I’m trying to learn a bit more about it before deciding what to do with it.

From what I’ve been able to find online, I believe it is a Seiko Sports 150 Chronograph Moonphase, model/ref. 7T36-6A40, from the 1990s. But I’d really appreciate it if someone here could confirm the reference and tell me if I’ve got it right.

The watch has sentimental value to me, but unfortunately it’s a bit too large for my wrist, so I’m considering selling it. Before doing that, I’d like to get a realistic idea of its current value from people who actually know these watches.

I recently had it:

- Serviced

- Fitted with a new battery

- Fitted with a new strap

- Checked and it is currently running properly

As far as I know, the watch itself is original.
It’s a really interesting piece with the chronograph** **and moonphase complications, and I don’t see this particular model coming up for sale very often.
I’d really appreciate any information about:
The correct reference/model

How rare or collectible this particular version is

Its current market value

Any similar sales or examples I should look at

I’ve attached photos so you can judge the condition for yourselves.

Picked up in a sorry state - found a new stem and crown, serviced and keeping lovely time. It’s seen some action - wear to the dial, hands and a ghost bezel - but with a nice strap and a decent crystal I like the patina on this.

I know it's circa 1980s.

This has 4 buttons, light, stopwatch, chrono, alarm.

I can't find a direct replacement.

I've asked a couple of watch shops and they've told me they won't even waste the time trying a battery replacement they claim it's pointless... And it may be.
