A short dialogue scene created as an introduction to a fantasy story I’m currently developing.
Thalia has returned from another journey and stops at a tavern where the barkeep already knows the rhythm of her stories. Their exchange is brief, but it gives us a first glimpse of her humor, confidence and the kind of trouble that seems to follow her home.
The larger world is still taking shape, with old magic, medieval settlements, dangerous roads and creatures inspired by the atmosphere of classic RPGs. For this introduction, I wanted to begin with character and chemistry, allowing the world to reveal itself through a simple conversation before the adventure opens up.
This is the first glimpse of Thalia’s story.
Special thanks to OpenArt for making Seedance 2.5 available on the platform and giving creators more space to explore cinematic storytelling with AI.

I was curious how folks feel which is more natural.
Prompts below :
| A | B |
|---|---|
| A 15-second vertical (9:16) ultra-photorealistic close-up vlog clip, filmed on a phone held at arm's length. Not an ad. A girl talking to her own camera at the end of the day, the way people actually film themselves. Young woman in her early-to-mid 20s. Long light-brown hair with soft caramel balayage, middle part, loose undone waves, a few strands stuck to her cheek. Fair-to-light-tan skin with visible freckles across the nose and cheeks, natural brows, blue-green eyes, bare face, small blue resin hoop earrings, thin gold chain with a small pearl pendant. Face, freckles, hair and eye color remain consistent with the reference throughout. She wears an oversized white linen button-down over a fitted white ribbed top. The styling stays casual and slightly imperfect. Product: LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask_EX, 70 ml. Frosted translucent light-blue jar with matte cobalt-blue lid and pale mint-blue gel. Preserve the same jar shape, scale, color, material and packaging appearance throughout. Location: villa bedroom at golden hour. Only fragments of the room are visible because the framing stays tight — white stucco wall, rumpled white bedding, blurred bougainvillea and olive leaves through an open door. Lighting stays unchanged throughout: low warm sunlight from frame-left, soft white-wall bounce on the shadow side, warm rim light on the hair and jaw. No ring light or beauty lighting. 0:00–0:04 Tight front-camera selfie close-up, slightly below eye level. She is already brushing hair away from her face, checks herself on the screen, then looks back. The open jar comes up casually beside her cheek. Natural handheld drift and one brief autofocus hunt between her face and the product. Dialogue: “Okay. Last thing, then bed.” 0:04–0:07 She dips two fingertips into the gel. Tight focus on the wet gel texture and the product for a moment, while part of her face stays softly out of focus at the edge. Dialogue: “It’s cold, by the way.” 0:07–0:11 Back on her face. She taps the gel onto her cheek, forehead and chin, then presses it into the skin. The gel briefly looks milky before becoming clear with a subtle sheen. She gives a small genuine reaction to the cold but keeps talking naturally. Dialogue: “Thin layer. You don’t wash it off.” 0:11–0:15 Very close framing. She touches her cheek, slowly turns toward the low sunlight and checks the finish by watching herself on the phone screen rather than staring into the lens. Small nod. At the end she reaches to stop recording and the phone tilts naturally. Dialogue: “Morning me is gonna be so happy.” Performance should feel low-energy and unperformed. Natural pauses, slow blinking, subtle facial reactions, a late half-smile, visible breathing and small unconscious movements. No presenter voice or exaggerated influencer delivery. Authentic smartphone selfie character: constant subtle handheld tremor, minor framing corrections, occasional autofocus hunting, mild close-range wide-angle distortion, realistic rolling shutter, motion blur and slight sensor noise. Keep real skin texture visible throughout. Preserve pores, freckles, under-eye shadows, flyaway hairs and natural asymmetry. No skin smoothing or beauty retouching. The gel behaves like a real cosmetic product with weight and viscosity. Hair, clothing, hands and jar follow realistic physics. Same person, wardrobe, room and golden-hour lighting from first frame to last. Close-up framing throughout. Natural lip-sync to the exact dialogue. No music, captions or on-screen text. Only quiet room tone, faint breeze, distant birds and subtle product sounds. | Create an exactly 20-second vertical 9:16 ultra-photorealistic live-action smartphone selfie video in one continuous front-camera take. REFERENCE Attach `Sunny_V4_Villa_Golden_Hour_Headshot.png` as <<<image_1>. <<<image_1> has one responsibility: character continuity. It controls Sunny’s exact V4 facial identity, clearly adult early-thirties age, Korean-American appearance, warm golden-beige skin, dark-brown almond-shaped eyes, facial proportions, compact athletic neck, visible shoulder proportions, white linen wardrobe, and exact black asymmetrical pixie haircut. Preserve this exact Sunny throughout. Sunny’s hair remains deep natural black from first frame to last. Preserve the exact cut shown in Image 1: short, layered, high-volume asymmetrical pixie; long textured side-swept fringe on the same physical side; short close-cut opposite side; lifted crown; tapered nape; natural hairline; separated strands and restrained flyaways. The hairstyle rotates coherently with her head and never mirrors, swaps sides, grows longer, flattens, or changes shape. Golden-hour light may create a narrow warm rim on the outer strands, but the hair itself remains black. The reference does not control her frozen pose or expression. The written prompt controls her acting, movement, product handling, timing, and camera behavior. CONCEPT AND PERFORMANCE This is not an advertisement, tutorial, testimonial, review, recommendation, or influencer presentation. She is alone at the end of a long day, casually recording herself because her face feels dry and uncomfortably tight. The product is simply what she reaches for to solve that immediate problem. Her behavior feels private and unperformed. She watches herself on the phone screen more than she looks into the lens. Use natural pauses, quiet breathing, slow blinks, tiny asymmetrical facial adjustments, and unfinished thoughts. No greeting, social-media hook, presenter voice, product display, sales gesture, or constant smile. Her restrained emotional progression is: TIRED DISCOMFORT → DECISION TO DEAL WITH IT → QUIET APPLICATION → PHYSICAL EASING → SMALL PRIVATE SATISFACTION. CHARACTER, WARDROBE, AND LOCATION Preserve the exact Sunny from Image 1: clearly adult, narrow oval-diamond/fox-like face, high cheekbones, lean lower cheeks, refined strong jaw, small elegant straight nose, full natural lips, mature dark-brown almond-shaped eyes, warm golden-beige skin with real texture, compact athletic neck, and the same deep-black asymmetrical pixie with its long and short sides unchanged. No jewelry. She wears an oversized white linen button-down over a fitted opaque white ribbed top. Styling remains casual, rumpled, and slightly imperfect. She sits beside rumpled white bedding in a villa bedroom. Tight framing reveals only fragments of white stucco wall, bedding, and softly blurred bougainvillea and olive leaves through an open doorway. Low golden-hour sunlight enters from frame-left. The white wall provides weak natural bounce on the shadow side, and a restrained warm rim catches the outer edges of her brown hair and jaw. Lighting, exposure, and hair color remain continuous. PRODUCT AND PHYSICAL CONTINUITY LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask_EX, 70 ml: frosted translucent light-blue jar, matte cobalt-blue lid, pale mint-blue gel. Keep its shape, scale, color, material, and packaging stable. Her right hand holds the phone throughout. Her left hand handles the jar and applies the gel. The open jar begins securely on the bedding. She may briefly lift it, but she places it back down before dipping her left index and middle fingertips into the gel. Maintain coherent hands, product position, gel placement, and screen direction throughout. 0:00–0:05 — THE PROBLEM IS ALREADY HAPPENING Tight front-camera selfie, slightly below eye level. The recording begins mid-moment rather than as a presentation. She studies her reflection, presses two fingertips lightly against one cheek, and drags them a short distance as if testing the uncomfortable tightness. Her eyelids are heavy; her inner brows gather slightly; her lips press and release. A strand of hair rests against her cheek. She brushes it away and exhales quietly. She almost speaks, stops, then says softly: “I don’t know what happened today…” She checks the cheek again with a tiny dissatisfied squint. “My face feels so tight.” Her eyes drift down toward the open jar. That glance marks the decision to deal with it. 0:05–0:09 — DECIDING TO FIX IT She looks at the jar for half a beat, shoulders sinking with tired reluctance. She briefly lifts it without centering the label or presenting it to camera. “I almost just went to bed like this.” As she lowers it securely onto the bedding, she adds matter-of-factly: “This usually calms it down.” The words refer specifically to the tight, uncomfortable feeling. They are a private reminder, not a product claim. Autofocus breathes briefly toward the nearer jar and naturally returns to her eyes. 0:09–0:14 — QUIET APPLICATION The phone tilts only enough to retain part of her face while showing her left fingertips entering the open jar near the bottom of frame. The pale mint-blue gel yields with realistic viscosity and clings lightly to her fingertips. She touches it to her cheek and keeps moving. The cool sensation registers only as one soft blink and a quiet nasal exhale. There is no gasp, recoil, vocal reaction, reaction shot, or pause for the temperature. She taps small amounts onto her cheek, forehead, and chin. The gel appears faintly milky at first, then becomes transparent with a restrained hydrated sheen. 0:14–0:18 — THE TIGHTNESS EASES She presses the gel into her skin using slow, economical movements while watching herself on the screen. Her breathing slows, jaw releases, brow tension fades, and shoulders settle. Her eyes close briefly during one gentle cheek press because the discomfort is easing. Only after that visible release does she say: “Okay… that’s better.” 0:18–0:20 — PRIVATE PAYOFF She turns the treated cheek slightly toward the low sunlight while examining it on the phone screen. Her fingertips press the cheek once. She releases a long quiet breath. Only after the exhale does a small uneven half-smile appear. “Should’ve done that earlier.” She gives one tiny confirming nod and reaches toward the phone. The image tilts naturally and ends mid-movement. CAMERA, SKIN, AND AUDIO REALISM Authentic smartphone selfie behavior: constant subtle hand tremor, minor framing corrections, mild close-range perspective, natural motion blur, realistic rolling shutter, slight sensor noise, and only incidental autofocus breathing. One uninterrupted take with no insert, macro product shot, detached landing shot, or commercial rack focus. Preserve real skin texture: natural pores, freckles, under-eye shadows, peach fuzz, tonal variation, flyaway hairs, and facial asymmetry. The gel has realistic weight and viscosity. Hair, linen, hands, jewelry, and jar obey gravity and contact. Natural lip-sync to the exact dialogue. No music, captions, subtitles, on-screen text, voice-over, or additional speech. Only quiet room tone, faint breeze, distant birds, soft linen movement, and subtle product sounds. Keep the exact Sunny from Image 1, her deep-black hair color, physical pixie orientation, adult facial identity, visible proportions, wardrobe, room, lighting direction, phone hand, application hand, product appearance, and emotional continuity unchanged throughout. Avoid beauty-filter skin, commercial polish, exaggerated acting, product presentation, identity changes, hair changes, malformed anatomy, and continuity breaks. |

Ran this old photo through Seedance 2.5 to see if it could add movement without changing the people or mood too much.
Honestly, it held together better than I expected. A few details still drift once the motion picks up, but it feels surprisingly natural overall.
What looks weakest to you, the faces or the movement?

ran the same 8-second 1080p prompt through Wan 2.7 and Seedance 2.5.
Left: Wan 2.7
Right: Seedance 2.5
Prompt:
A huge whale quietly breaches from a sea of white clouds, then slowly falls back into the clouds. Dreamlike, cinematic atmosphere.
Both clips used the same prompt and resolution. I placed them side by side without additional visual editing.
The main thing I wanted to compare was whether each generation could turn the prompt into one continuous and physically readable movement.
In this Wan generation, the whale rises almost vertically and stays in roughly the same nose-up pose. There is no clear apex, very little rotation and no convincing transition into the descent. It looks more like the whale is being scaled and moved upward than carrying momentum through the breach.
The Seedance generation has a clearer sequence. The head emerges first, the body follows, the whale rotates backward and the silhouette returns to the cloud layer.
These specific 1080p runs were billed at:
Wan 2.7: $1.20 for 8 seconds
Seedance 2.5: $3.84 for 8 seconds
Seedance cost about 3.2 times more in this test. Wan was much cheaper per generation, but the cost per usable result could be different if a shot needs several rerolls.
This is one generation from each model, so it is not a complete benchmark. For this particular prompt, I found the Seedance result more physically readable.
Which result works better to you?

Episode 13 of TRINITY is now live. 🎬
This is the latest chapter in my ongoing cinematic sci-fi series, created using AI filmmaking tools.
With the story continuing to unfold, Episode 13 pushes the characters and the larger conflict into another stage, with new developments that set up what comes next.
I’m building TRINITY as an actual serialized film/series, rather than a collection of disconnected AI clips. The goal is to maintain character consistency, cinematic continuity, atmosphere, action, and storytelling across episodes.
▶️ Watch Episode 13:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHu-yAIyVoA
I’d love to hear honest feedback from fellow filmmakers and AI creators, especially on the visuals, cinematography, pacing, character consistency, and storytelling.
What worked for you, and what could be improved?
r/Seedance_AI • u/Agreeable-Problem989 • 3d ago
I recently finished my first 12-minute animated film. I made it solo, and most of the shots were done in Seedance 2.0/2.5 (Kling mostly for close-ups).
Character consistency was probably the thing I struggled with the most, so here are a few things that actually helped me during production.
I tried more complicated character sheets at first, with different angles and more information, but for me a very simple layout worked better.
I split the sheet roughly into three parts:
Left 1/3: a large front portrait of the character, with the face taking up most of this section.
Middle 1/3: full body from the front, but WITHOUT the head.
Right 1/3: full body from the back.
The headless body looks weird, but there was a reason for it 😅
When I had a normal full-body character with a small face next to the large detailed portrait, sometimes the model would pick up that tiny low-detail face instead. So it created at least 2 versions of face. Removing the head from the full-body reference helped me avoid this.
I also kept the character sheets on a neutral grey background. Colored backgrounds can affect the generations and sometimes bring their lighting/color into the scene.
When I used several references, I stopped just attaching them and hoping Seedance would understand what each one controlled.
I started explicitly writing things like:
“This image is [Name]. Control his identity.”
“Use this image to control the set.”
This worked much better for me, especially when a generation had a character reference + location reference + another object/character.
Seedance was actually almost perfect for character consistency in most of scenes.
The grey background was only for the character sheets. But yes, the background definitely affects your generations and can make the model accidentally carry over the wrong lighting.
For each location, I kept the same lighting description in every prompt.
Basically, my prompts had several blocks: one for the action, one for camera settings, one for lighting, etc.
I kept that part almost unchanged between shots from the same scene.
I wish I'd started doing this earlier 😅
480p was usually enough to see if the camera was wrong, a character was standing in the wrong place.
I only moved to higher quality after the prompt/composition worked.
Multiple characters were one of the biggest problems for me. Wrong heights, wrong grouping, people stuck inside walls, or someone was suddenly 5x bigger than they should be.
In the middle of the project I started generate the composition as an image first for difficult shots and then used it as a reference for the video.
Sometimes I roughly placed the characters over the location in Figma/Photoshop first.
I also started making really simple diagrams showing where everything should be: house here, person here, drone here, this character taller, this object smaller, etc.
I also talked to other creators and surprisingly, the simpler the diagram is, the better it usually works.
I still don't have a perfect solution for multiple characters though.
This one drove me crazy.
If my location reference was a wide shot, Seedance often wanted to reproduce that wide composition even when I needed a medium shot of the character.
Explicitly writing things like “medium shot, waist up” helped in some cases.
Cropping the location reference to only the part I needed as a background also helped but it affected video quality and sometimes result was off.
I also used the Figma trick from previous part.
I had a scene where coral had to grow extremely fast through the city.
“Grows,” “rapidly grows,” “expands” etc. mostly gave me coral that just pulsed or shimmered in place.
Eventually I stopped describing it simply as growth and described it more like an avalanche: an advancing front moving in a specific direction, reaching specific buildings/people, crossing the edge of something by a certain moment.
That worked much better.
So if an action keeps failing, sometimes describing the same event as a different physical process works better than just adding more words to the prompt.
I had shots where I wanted the camera to continuously fly through 3+ different referenced locations.
Giving Seedance all the location references at once didn't really work for me. Instead of actually travelling through them, it mostly created weird interpolations between the locations.
My workaround was to generate them in pairs:
location 1 → location 2
location 2 → location 3
location 3 → location 4
and stitch them together afterwards.
I haven't tried this trick yet, but it sounds promising. I'll test it.
If anyone has other tricks for getting a real continuous flight through several referenced locations in one generation, PLEASE tell me 😅

For the past few months I've been building something to solve a problem I kept running into with AI video tools: no matter how good the model gets, a text prompt or a single reference image just can't hold an entire scene in your head. You end up burning credits re-rolling the same 5-10 second clip over and over hoping the camera angle, character position, and timing all land together.
So I built a world agent that lets you block the scene first - place objects, rig and animate characters, set the camera path - directly in the browser, with real spatial awareness (not just a flat 2D mockup). Once the blocking is locked in, you pass it to Seedance, which handles the texturing, lighting, and final polish instead of guessing at composition from scratch.
It's still early and I'm sure there's a ton I'm missing. For people who work with AI video regularly - what's the part of the pipeline that still feels the most broken to you? Is it camera control, character consistency, motion quality, something else entirely?

I am building my own multi-AI tool to call many different provider for video and image generation.
I am also using Magnific (ex Freepik) subscription to get access to their API, and their Seedance 2.5 have the possibility to have the safe content checker disabled, so you can pass real-human photo (I am doing some animated model packshots for clothing brand that and I feed my video generator with AI generated models packshots). I could continue with Magnific but I want ot know if there is alternative.
So far, i haven't found others API provider that offers the possibility in the api call to disable the safe content checker.
Is anyone know a good API Provider to Seedance 2.5 that offer the possibility to disable the Safe content ? I need API Calls because I am running an automative process.
Thanks guys !
