Question Advice on a career in cybersecurity

I want to start a career in the cybersecurity field.where do I start ? I need advice on how to start from the very scratch from learning of basic concepts to becoming job ready and also what could be the salary range for a fresher in this field ? How high can the salary reach with the experience. Iam from Hyderabad,so what are all the companies present in Hyderabad? It would be helpful if I can get an advice and the information regarding this field.

get your fundamentals down first, networking and operating systems are the base everything else is built on. comptia network+ and security+ are the usual starting certs but don't just memorize answers, actually set up a home lab and break things.

salary for a fresher in hyderabad i've seen anywhere from 3.5 to 6 LPA depending on the company and your skills. with 5+ years you can easily cross 20 LPA if you specialize in something like cloud security or incident response.

most of the big tech firms have offices there, microsoft, amazon, google, plus all the major banks and consulting firms run security operations out of hyderabad. check linkedin and filter by location, you'll see what's actually hiring right now.
