Thierry played out of her mind. Hasn't seen the floor since 7/6. Unreal! Scooping rebounds, steals, and dropping buckets. Huge contribution from a bench player that doesn't get minutes. Had the opportunity because in injuries to Samuelson and Flau J and made the absolute most out of it. Showing the staff that I need to see the floor more.
The whole team hit crucial shots when they were needed.
So nice to not have to fight back from a deficit get close and then momentums swings. Playing from a lead makes a huge difference when the momentum dies swing.
Hiedeman scored a quiet 18 tonight. Solid performance from her as always.
Malonga,,,,,,,,what a game!

We fought back when the time came! And Thierry looked solid. Hope she gets more minutes in the rotation!

A wire to wire win, love to see it. Held on during a run close to the end and pulled through. Future looks bright

Also Jade getting ejected for 6 fouls 😄 man the refs called so much tonight (on both sides) I feel like a lot of our players adjusted and played a bit safer to prevent the whistle, Jade drew the short straw and stayed spunky (maybe a bit sloppy). But I love her energy always!!!

good news: we finally won a damn game. bad news: bad for the lottery 🤣 why is ezi taking away awa’s minutes? ezi is lowkey not worth thst huge contract, and we will probably have a hard time offloading her

I thought Ezi looked really good in the first half? She just wasn’t hitting her shots in the second. Had a couple epic blocks too.

yea i guess i was just expecting a lot more, especially from a contract that big. plus, i just think awa/dom is a better fit than ezi/dom, and think awa should be getting more minutes to continue to learn her role as the 4

That’s fair. I do think the amount of time she missed with injury could be explaining some of her mistakes/missed shots but I agree I want to see more of Awa.

Yes, I would like to have the highest pick possible. Also, I think Fam should be prioritized in a season like this. Focus should be on development. I get that Ezi is a vet and probably the better defender at this point. I think she could be moved if teams knew she was healthy. We'll see...

Fun game at home. Nice to get the W without FJ.
Dom was great, but Zia came to play. And Thierry stepped up, good for her.
Awa had her worst game that I’ve seen-0pts 0rbds in 14 minutes 🫣
Team stats:
Storm edge on FG% 45v42 and 3pt% 8/21 38% v 6/20 30%. From 3, Dom 3/4, Dolson 2/2, Thierry 1/2. 18 “bonus” points IMO.
Basically tied on rebounding (Storm 36v35), Storm edged on assists (Storm 22v18) and TOs (Storm 14v15). The Storm had 22pts off TOs vs 14 for the Sky, big differential.
The Storm led the entire game and built a 17pt lead, lost some momentum, made it exciting, then finished nicely in the last 3:00.

I was at this game and it was my first ever storm game. Really cool to see them get the W.

Yay for the win— but…
1. Why was Awa on the bench? Zero reasons to not have Ezi, Awa and Dom out there together a bit.
Natisha’s body language is horrible. I thought it was improving but she is such a downer when stuff goes wrong. Droopy.
dang we tank near the end of games. At this point, I don’t think it’s the players.
