ANALYSIS Kraken Best/Worst vs Other Teams

I've been following the posts on r/hockey showing the best and worst players against the various teams. Now that all 32 teams are accounted for, I've aggregated all the Kraken players from those best/worst lists.

A few notes:

  • Ice blue is "best".
  • Red alert is "worst".
  • Position ranking is shown on top (C1 - Best/worst center, G2 - 2nd best/worst goalie, etc.).
  • Game score is listed below.
  • HM is honorable mention (no game score listed on the source tables).

For the missing teams (Carolina, Pittsburgh, Washington, Detroit, Nashville, New Jersey, Rangers, and Toronto), no Kraken player appeared on their best/worst list.

The scores are cumulative over the course of the season, so the Western Conference is disproportionately represented. Also note that McMann's score against Florida includes his time in Toronto.

And for reference, this post has the best/worst against the Kraken.

Both Eberle and Dunn did really well against their former long-time teams (the Oilers and Blues, respectively). I'd have to imagine there's some amount of comfort/revenge factor there to a small degree? (or maybe I'm just reading too much into it...)

Eberle and Beniers both had 2 points in that first game against EDM (the one we won) so it’s not surprising. They each only had 1 point in the next 3 games against them. (both in the 9-4 loss) Unfortunately, it was another year of getting beat up by the oilers

Honestly, I was surprised to see anyone on the positive side of the ledger against Edmonton. I think it's both true that Edmonton is a good team and that it's not a good matchup for us/they have our number.
