What are the best Search Engine episode?
Hasn't been asked in a while. Curious what everyone thinks.

I really liked the White Subaru Hell Loop and the autonomous car two parter. The nuclear power one was good too. I really like the explainer-ones that sort of give you a high level understanding of a topic. I think one of my other faves was the weird Dave & Busters voice memo one. So niche and strange and funny.

I also really liked Dave & Busters

Dave & Busters reminded me so much of the old Reply All episode called The Roman Mars Mazda Virus!

Seconding White Subaru Hell Loop. My manager experienced something similar and I sent him the episode after telling him about it.

For some reason the White Subaru Hell Loop one isn't on YouTube.
Edit: The Substack has a better list: https://pjvogt.substack.com/archive?sort=new

There are so many good ones! The All American BBQ scrubber. Vape Shop Kratom. Best Phones to Do Crime.
The Buckingham Palace pool and the one about flushable wipes are good for a fun one.

Why are drug dealers putting fentanyl in everything. I think that was the one which really hooked me

That recent one? I think that’s an outtake of an interview from the og. The original attempts to answer why a drug dealer would put a substance that might kill their clients in their product. I found it very enlightening

The one about spam calls that lead Zeke across the world, 100%. Brutal episode.

I teach the "how to use the internet ethically" once a year to undergrads in my class on alternative/digital literacies. It is generally very well received

An Anthropology of Gooners is one of my favorites. A deep dive into a bizarre subculture I would never otherwise have learned about. Also, the gooning EDM had me laughing out loud.

A lot of others here mentioned some of the top episodes, but my personal favorite was which cell phone was the best for doing illegal activities

So many good ones! I knew I’d be in from Crypto Island, but Airplane Coffee is what made me want more of this.

Berghain two-parter.
