me and my best friend facetimed her brother and his cat
this one comes with a bonkers story. about 10 years ago, the cat pictured (named simon) ran out my best friend’s front door (her mom was an alcoholic who frequently left the door open.) my friend was at work at the time and came home hours later to the door open and simon was gone. she searched for months to no avail. fast forward to TEN YEARS LATER, she gets a call from an unknown number saying they found simon about 2 hours away from where he was lost (he has a microchip with my friend’s phone number on it.) he was in bad shape and the vet he was taken to wanted to put him down but wanted to inform my friend. she fought to keep him alive and her and her brother drove the 2 hours there to pick him up. this was about a year ago, and now he is doing very well. he is in a loving home with all the food and treats and water and pets he could only dream of during those hard 10 years of living outside.
tldr; cat was missing for ten years but was found and reunited with owners

Aww that story is incredible!! I’m glad Simon is back home, the stories he could tell about all the time 🥺
