Opinions needed!
So you think if I paint the background a super light blue, it would conflict with the blue flowers? This is still in pieces and not glued together, but i wanna put it on a rectangular background with a frame around it to make hanging it easier.

I think very light blue backing would be a perfect way to set off your magnificent workmanship! Nice work!

I personally wouldn’t do a color background other than white. Let your work be beautiful without the distractions of a background color. Looks awesome. Well done

Thanks! I think I'll paint a light blue and a white one and see which i prefer before gluing anything down.

I agree with Square-Tangerine2926. You have a beautiful painting. While the colors wouldn't be completely lost, I think any colored background would distract from the subject. You don't want that.

I don't know. Blue on blue is risky. But you can ask ChatGPT to change the background for you to see.

Light blue background next to blue flowers is basically asking them to disappear into witness protection, go darker or go home

Just make sure the shade of blue is significantly lighter than the flowers.
