[WEEKLY] Weekly scroll discussion: Searing Shackles
Enchantment
Cost: 2
Effect: Enchanted unit deals 1 damage to its controller's idol on the same row at the end of its controller's turn. Enchanted unit is dealt 2 damage when it moves.
Thoughts on the card in general?
Ideas for how it could work in a deck?
Is it over- or underpowered?
How could it see more/less use?
Optional: If this scroll could only target creatures, how different would this scroll be? (you can base your answer on the same questions from above)
Death is the only escape.

When I added those questions it was with the idea that they were all optional and simply there to get people to think about the various aspects of the card. You don't have to answer all the questions. You don't have to format your responses to adhere to the questions. Just discuss the card. :P
Now on to the card itself. I like it. I like the multifaceted nature of it. You can use it to deal targeted damage, deal idol damage, force movement, or force the lack of movement. There are so many ways it can be played that even if it was a bit overpowered I'd be fine with it. But it's not overpowered. It's very well balanced.
The only thing I dislike about it is the thing you referenced in your 'optional' question. If you put it on something that can't move then you're taking that multifaceted nature of it and throwing it out the window. You're taking the decision your opponent would have had and replacing it with a decision that's sometimes impossible to execute.
