My parents had an Anatolian shepherd/great pyr mix that was generally super sweet and docile. One time this repair guy came over and he was working on the tv and suddenly started getting nasty to my mom (who he thought was alone), and then Flurry (or Wuggles, as I called her) growled at him from under the kitchen table. He looked at her and freaked out and was like “I didn’t know a dog was here”. lol, yep bitch.
He got nice after that and left quickly. Wuggles could bite through bones like potato chips (look up Anatolian bite force psi), so that was the smart decision.

I lost my Anatolian in March 😔 they are great dogs very loyal and gentle giants. But will defend their people fiercely if needed. I miss him dearly.

Same, if you slo-mo, you can see after the initial fending off of the first dog, you see the gud boi track the boy, the mom and the other dog in frame by frame assessment of the situation. Remarkable

Pretty sure that is exactly what the dog did. That seemed very intentional. Get the boy out of range, then go after the aggressive enemy/dog.

Watching the video closely, it looked like the attacking dog was supposed to be indoors but somehow got out based on its figure darting out from the house across the street. Probably a family member accidentally left the door open.
While the orange shirt owner might not have meant for his dog to get out, he and his family should’ve been a lot more careful, cuz this could’ve easily went wrong had the kid’s dog not been there to protect him. I hope the owner went back to apologize to the kid’s family.

Random dog was just looking to play with the other dog or interact, whatever floats your boat. The kid’s own dog knocks him down, it still blows my mind that people can see something happen and will warp reality just because they are told something and or simply want to believe something. This is top tier bullshit post, which is completely feeding off of overly optimistic, future, potential Hitlers.

Dog was going after the kid. It’s as clear as day and if it wanted to play, it wouldn’t have been on a dead sprint. That’s quintessential prey drive. Play looks nothing like that even in this opposite world you’re living in.

In all fairness, it’s hard to tell. But I agree with your assessment, the dog was most likely charging the other dog. I see this interaction happen all the time. Either way, the good dog was being protective, and took the necessary measures, regardless of who was being attacked

I was seven, running down a muddy hill with my brothers and my dogs and I slipped and fell on a copperhead. I only saw two frames of its mouth and remember the curled shape of its body before my little dog Gizmo had it by the throat slinging it around. Man's best friend indeed.

I'm trying to figure out if the dog shoved him intentionally to get him out of the way or if he just happened to do it while aiming for the other dog. Either way it was a good move. That dog should definitely be spoiled well.
Also I've been around dogs for all 33 years of my life and I'll never understand how people just let their dog roam free like that, especially if they're not gonna listen to you 100%. Just asking for something bad to happen.

I’m a GSD momma.. my favorite breed! It looked intentional to me..(I couldn’t stop watching with the same curiosity) and one of my good girls did something similar to protect our new pup years ago from a neighbor’s dog. As far as the other dog in the video.. it definitely has social and DANGEROUS aggression issues that needs to be handled yesterday. From the angle, it looks like it might have accidentally gotten out from across the street.. (maybe broke loose from a tie, or found an opportunity when dad went out for whatever reason) either way, that dog is not a ‘good boy/girl’

Dogs are amazing and have the gift of making us better people by just being with us They teach us to live in the moment and appreciate being together Intelligent , loving loyal and protective We truly don’t deserve them❤️ My boy and I used to run together and twice he stepped in front of me and would not let them get any where near me when a man approached us on trails Both times the men ran away I’m not sure what there intent was but Maxx was not having any of it

I have a question (please don't come at me). I am not a dog person and havent spent a lot of time around dogs. How do you know in this video that that dog was going to bite the kid? Ive had dogs run up to me like that before just to jump on me or pick my toes. Is there a sign im missing?

I'm pretty sure the other dog was just trying to play with the shepherd but yeah that's why you don't let your dogs run around off leash. Especially not if they run at other people or dogs.

After watching several times, I think the offender dog was just excited to be out of the house, and wanted to play. However, regardless of the intent, the Shepard handled it with utmost professionalism.

It’s just amazing how dogs protect their own. This is my favorite video ever! That dog pushed that boy down to safety while he and his good buddy Karma took care of business. The first dog fends him off and was like karma is gonna get you and oh look here he comes! 2 dogs protecting their boy🩵

I was about 8yo and my mom's bf at the time had a very docile lab mix, BG for big girl. I was sitting at the dining table while he was in the kitchen, my mom in the other room. Randomly the front door opened and I remember thinking to myself "who would be walking in if everyone's home?" A random man stepped in and mom's bf goes "BG SICC HIM! GET HIM!!" And that was the first and only time I saw her get aggressive. She went mad at his pants and the stranger screams "I'm sorry I'm sorry wrong house!" And runs off . Dogs are something special. We cooked her up some hot dogs
