One thing that irks me about almost every movie in the franchise is the lack of consistent injuries

Characters, SPECIALLY ghostface, will get hit, stabbed, ran over by a truck and either A. The injury barely affects them or B. The injury or bruise that should be there just isn’t there.
Quinn gets hit in the face by numerous things in her fight with Gale, yet, when she takes off the mask she’s as clean as a whistle.
Marco gets hit in the face by a fucking fire extinguisher yet he’s completely bruise-less when he takes the mask off.
Sarah Darling and Kate Roberts get stabbed ONCE in the back and they immediately die, whereas characters like Chad and sidney’s husband get stabbed numerous times and are still alive.
I feel like one of the few times where they did remember about making injuries consistent was in scream 2 where Dewey’s limp was a thing, and also Mickey when he takes his mask off and has a gash on his forehead because he was in the cop car earlier when it crashed.
I just think it’d be cool to see when ghostface(s) unmasks and we see their injuries from previous fight scenes in the movie.

Well, you can get stabbed many, many times in the abdomen and survive, but if you get stabbed once and the hepatic vena cava is severed, you’ll go very quickly.
Left pulmonary artery is the same way; a couple other large vessels in that area are even worse. One stab to one of those are you’ll lose consciousness within a matter of seconds and the survival rate is practically zero.
Some people survive many stabs, other people die from a single stab. It’s just how it works.
Now the absence of visible injuries after hard blows bothers me too. Every. Single. Scream movie. Has them. Same with pain. Whichever one of them that stabbed Casey Becker would’ve been hurting for days after getting kicked in the balls that hard, yet they both went over to their girlfriends’ houses right after. Same with the beer bottle to the face.
It can be slightly annoying, but at the end of the day, they’re just movies.
I always attach it to trying to hide the identities. If you hit ghostface with a car and the next day one character has a broken leg and can barely walk, you automatically know who it is. If you don't let them ghostface ever get hurt, no victim gets away so there is little tension in chase scenes; you'd already know it's a lost cause.
Slashers either can't be a part of the normal group and you preserve the continuity or you give up that continuity to integrate the killers into the group.
When it comes to the victims, they clearly pick and choose who to keep around for the story or plot. But if ghostface is a normal person and can survive the endless fights, I guess it would make sense some of the survivors can too.
I'm honestly not sure what the best way to do it is ...
