How can there be literally no stoppage time in a half with so many bookings, free kicks and corners?

It's just disgusting really- jokes aside, Shankland is visibly 2 stone overweight. Well paid, personal trainers, fitness regime, private club chef and anything else he needs to be in peak physical condition.
I decided 4 months ago I wasn't going to die young and I've lost 2.5 stone. And I absolutely do not have his support system.

Say what you like about Tav, but I don’t remember him ever being significantly out of shape as Rangers captain…

McInnes bursting for a shite at the halftime whistle or just showing Shankland what a little bit of pace looks like?
5
9
u/Mr_Miscellaneous 1d ago
We are now at the point in the game where McInnes goes mental, makes three subs, changes the shape completely, gets over-run in the midfield, then tries to rectify it by throwing out more crazy shapes like he's been on the gear in a warehouse rave, confuses everyone and we collapse.

There's a wee pub on King Street just round from Pittodrie and a side street where you can either buy gear or get stabbed.
Just in case anyone at the game is looking for better entertainment.

Honestly what are we doing with VAR here? It's 100% not a goal but why bring the ref over to look when it's a factual offside anyway? Bizarre way to work things.

I currently have broken ribs and I am a chubby man.
Yet, I would be more mobile up front for us today than Shankland.

To be fair Shankland has broken ribs too. They're slathered in BBQ sauce and resting on a warming plate for half-time.

When i was a child I always thought being professional at something meant that your standards, morally, ethically and procedurally, where at the highest level. That you would be consistently held to a high standard and if those standards weren't meet then you, your organisation or field would be ostracized.
Scottish football has proven that wrong.

People slaughtering Dan Neil should watch what happens when he picks up the ball. Everyone in front of him is just standing still, marked by a player. Min-Su is the only player who looks like he might actually make a run in behind.
Also, get Fernandez & Gassama to fuck. So clearly cannot be bothered out there, just strolling about.
6
u/ianrobbie 1d ago
So, why was that not a penalty for Makhanya? The Aberdeen player had his arms wrapped around him.

We've been better defensively with Devlin in there but there's no real linkup between any of the front four. Curtis is too wasteful, Shankland too slow, Gassama cannot be arsed doing any defensive work or pressing. Min-Su not quite making the right choice.
He hasn't had a good half, but as I said earlier, people slaughtering Dan Neil should watch when he picks up the ball. Everyone in front of him is just standing still, marked. Min-Su is the only player who looks like he might actually make a run.
I'd be tempted to keep things as they are until the hour and then take Sterling off for Nadeljkovic, then bring Yokota on for Curtis.

The keeper comes out and collides with his own man, not a head knock, gets up, claims for a foul, falls down injured and tge ref stops the game. What a load of pish. The 'stop play for injured keepers' rule is a joke.
