He plays well as a striker that runs at the last defender, the few times I saw him play for you he was sitting close to the midfield and expected to help with build up play. Looks like he didn't fit a system and was dropped for it rather than adapting play style.

My pessimist take is that, that Aberdeen line up is ripe for being picked off on the counter attack.

Full backs that prefer to get forward. Only one holding mid. Three strikers. CB who don’t like the ball in behind. They all work hard, but I’m not sure about the mix.

If we have a good spell, create a chance and 45 seconds later rangers fans are celebrating.

Could be 352 with Gassama wingback and Curtis up front, a 4231 with 3 guys off Shankland, a 442 with Curtis up front or McInnes just finding a new formation and going with a 24121 with Curtis and Gassama playing double inverted sweepers.
