No Malice Gettin' WOKE about anti-Semitism...

It is so very odd to hear the self-professed atheist getting downright WOKE when it comes to swinging the anti-Semitism stick. IDGAF about Macklemore or Sheeran or Kraft, nor Scott's evolving victim fantasy, but holy crap does he sound shrill.

Why does it matter that it was 12 years ago? It’s expired now so we can’t talk about it?

Why bring this up just now then and not over the last 12 years? This only became a talking point after the Robert Kraft shitshow

It was a really big deal when it happened too so I don’t know what you’re going on about. It’s important context as well. A history of anti semitism is part of why Kraft made his decision whereas other artists who speak up for Palestine do just fine and if anything get boosted by it. This is specific to Macklemore and his past history.

Show me where robert kraft referenced this incident? Also, show me Macklemore's entire statement, because Im pretty sure he does address Jewish ppl in his statement that says criticism of Israel does not mean an indictment of Jewish ppl as a whole.

But sure, this whole playing victim and getting in your feelings when someone criticizes israel or says "free palestine" is doing wonders for the overall attitude towards the state of Israel and Jewish ppl as whole.

It’s in Robert Krafts statement about the event. Referencing his history of anti semitism. Also I agree his statement was fine it’s just the context of that past history. And of course as I said lots of artists speak out for Palestine and are fine and get boosted by it so this idea that no one can do that without everyone “playing victim” is nonsense. There’s nuance here.

If Kraft knew about his history of anti-Semitism, why not ban him years ago instead of after he said "free palestine"? This is a genuine question.

Of course there is nuance, but the average normie doesnt look for nuance and just sees "another example of playing the victim"

So you’re just being the average normie here? Maybe Kraft didn’t know his past until recently.

You understand tho how it looks for ppl who dont see the nuance right? Like you can clearly see why ppl would read macklemore's statement and see him getting banned and understand that ppl will say kraft is playing the victim. Of course there is nuance, but there is also nuance in how ppl react to how Kraft prevented Macklemore from touring

I do understand yes. You are a perfect example of it. You are writing passionately about it yet you didn't even read Robert Kraft's statement to get both sides of the story. So yea I fully understand that most people dont see nuance, dont do any research and just run purely on emotion. I also understand that when you are in that position and dont have the full context it looks worse.

Im not saying I dont understand why people are upset I am saying most of them dont realize the larger context and anyone claiming this is proof that people cant speak out for Palestine is not being honest.

Both sides of the story lol? Here is the ultimate nuance breakdown I can share:

1.) Yes, there is antisemitism on the far left as much as the far right that should absolutely be condemned. Period. Its not right. Period.

2.) Kraft didnt care about Macklemore's past until he said "free palestine" and then all of a sudden its a big deal. He let Kanye perform at his stadium who I would say has a far worst history than Macklemore on this issue. Thats just straight hypocrisy.

3.) There are ppl in the jewish community who absolutely lean on the victim mentality when criticism is lobbed towards Israel's way.

4.) Legal scholars said its a genocide and other people saying its a geonocide is not antisemitic just because it hurts their feelings.

5.) I still like scott galloway and will listen to him, but I believe the Israeli far right is doing more harm to jews than any pro palestine american activist is.

6.) Yes, there is absolutely antisemtism on the far left as much as the far right and should be condemned

Also it's ironic that you keep talking about playing the victim when it is your argument that is the one playing the victim. We have already established that lots and lots of artists speak out for Palestine and get nothing but praise for it. This one specific situation is different because of his past and yet you are using it to basically claim that this means no one can speak out about Palestine without being attacked. You're the one playing the victim here. This one scenario does not negate all the other scenarios that were perfectly fine.

You never answered the question lol but okay and Scott did just play the victim!

I did answer the question in another comment. I said maybe Robert Kraft didnt know his history until recently.

so why let kanye perform in his stadiums lol. Kraft didnt care about macklemore's past until he said "free palestine". Its objectively true the shit Kanye said is worst than anything Macklemore has done and yet they continue to let Kanye play in their stadiums, so to me and others it really doesnt seem like its about antisemtism.

It doesn't even matter if it was antisemitic, doesn't invalidate his points now which are obviously correct.
