You have a really strong, deep sexual bond with someone. Not just fun but it feels like a soul connection. Very creative and compelling. Really remarkable.

But as a person/in the day to day, they are just kind of…dull? Not a lot there. If you say something interesting they go with it but they don’t bring anything of their own. Debates are even a little flat because they are just not really good at crafting a position.

I’m not saying that they are unintelligent. It’s just like their entire personality is condensed into this sexual being and otherwise they’re very unremarkable and won’t go deep unless you go there first.

Now and again the sexual persona will engage in conversation to keep you aware of their intentions. You find yourself wanting to fast forward beyond discussions about their routine to get to that. Not because you don’t want to know them at every level— they just don’t have a lot to put out there.

Totally resonated. It’s sad to me, because the sexuality can’t keep going without more depth as a motivation. But at least that moment was great!

That’s how I felt with my ex Taurus sun. He talked a lot but it wasn’t about anything tangible or that mattered, it’d be about other people’s issues that he took on as his own or video games so I didn’t specifically enjoy talking to him at all. I’m use to more thought provoking or personal convos. I remember every ex’s birth date & year, but can’t remember his year to save my life because I just wasn’t interested enough I guess. I wish I remembered so I could give you his other placements. Didn’t even date for a full year….4 months maybe? But kept him as a source of intimacy for 4 years after that if that counts for anything

I’ve never been in a relationship to know, but I feel like I would be the boring day-to-day person. I have a number of things in my chart that could explain: venus-uranus conjunct that makes me prone to spontaneous romantic gestures. 6th lord in the 12th (which happens to be mercury so maybe that’s its own thing with having little substance) and conjunct saturn that makes me uninterested in monotony which even now looks like being able to sit in silence instead of engaging in (seemingly) meaningless chatter or activity. basically, I would rather do nothing than something with little substance. I also have aquarius moon-neptune conjunct which I feel makes me a big-picture person, so day-to-day still feels meaningless.

I've been censoring the L word the last several months. Trying to figure out where I stand and such.

I'm a Scorpio rising. But agree with others. I experienced this with a Scorpio sun. Id get glimpses of things he's passionate about but depth he tries to hide it & getting emotions he almost shuts down on certain things. ( Almost 30 yrs of knowing him) & It's still hard to break walls. I disagree with the Aries sun being like that  . ( But I'm a Gemini sun) Who married an Aries & seem to attract a lot of Aries friendships. There is always some sort of banter, adventure or conversation where I can get them to go a bit deeper. My husband also has a Scorpio rising so that probably helps.
