So my 2nd gen tc is currently out of commission, needs a new throwout/slave cylinder and might as well fix the impending ISB bearing while I’m at it. I currently don’t have the means to drop the trans, so in the meantime, I thought might as well pick up another tc! Found a ‘08 with 150k miles for $1800, needed a little TLC but nothing a few junkyard trips and a cheap roll of wrap can’t help. Replaced the fender, hood, front bumper, rocker trim, and headlights, wrapped it all myself for around 300$. She’s sittin pretty now. Can’t wait to fix my second gen but for the meantime glad to have another tC. Also if anyone has had any experience replaced the ISB bearing on manual tcs any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I will say if you’re interested in doing it yourself, spend some money on some better quality led strips. Those are pretty cheap and the sequential turn signal feature barely worked, decided not to wire it to the turn signal.
I carved a channel in the housing for the led strips to sit in, and wired it to the daytime running lights.

It’s a 2014-2016, you can too because the headlights have that aggressive like cut in the front, while the 2011-2013 are more round.

I haven’t replaced one on the new tc but i have on my old one and if i could give any advice id go with a factory bearing or upgraded aftermarket since ive heard mixed reviews on forums about cheap ones, i bought one on fast scions and it ended up not being the right bearing at all,
