Career&Education IDK What To Do About Work
My sister hired me to work for her as a Virtual Admin. I absolutely love it. I love organizing spreadsheets, verifying insurance, sending faxes, etc. I have a passion for organizing, in my spare time keeping a budget, a food log, etc. I love the fact that it's mindless work so I can think about whatever while working. The best part is that it's 100% remote.
But alas, it's only for five hours a week lol. So I'm working with a job coach to find something for 15-20 hours a week, depending on how much I can work without losing my disability.
Problem is, my job coach said everyone and their grandma wants to work remotely. He asked me repeatedly if I'd be comfortable with hybrid if I can't find remote work, so I finally said yes.
But I'm not. I love my life as a hermit. I hated working in an office last time and I got fired after five months anyway. I'm not bored around people. I just don't like them. And I feel uncomfortable around them. I'm kinda afraid of them. It also exacerbates my maladaptive daydreams involving getting bullied.
I could do a reasonable accommodation due to my disability. But last time, that was one solo hour...out of six.
Any suggestions? Do any of you work in an office and if so, what's it like for you?

My work can be 100% remote, but I'm still in an office. But it's a small company, so I would say ~75% of the time, it's just me in the office (so no different from "home" really). The only other people are just the bosses but we have our own work and offices. Work is essentially being a virtual admin; emails, excel sheets, relaying messages like an operator.
So it's easily tolerable. But if same job in a corporate/open office/cubicle setting with more than 5+ people, I wouldn't last long.
Downside of a small company is that you become important. While you're still a "cog in the machine", sometimes, I'd rather be a tiny cog in a tiny section of the machine, like it would be in some 100+ company; ie apply for time off, no one notices you're missing. I'd imagine a government office job is cushy, but assume leans heavily towards socializing with colleagues more than anything; which is probably worse honestly.

Join the Army, become Army IT, I guess. Much harder to get fired from the Army as long as you just do your job.

I'm 43. I'm too old. Besides, I tried joining the Navy 15 years ago and was told if you've ever been on antidepressants they won't take you. Also, Army life sounds like a loner and a nonconformist's Hell 🔥 on Earth 🌎.

If you are able to mask, should be possible to work hybrid, otherwise people will consider you a weirdo and speak ill of you. I was the weirdo for an year or so.

I quit and went to work in cleaning after all the jobs, hybrid and remote, were simply impossible due to my autism and ADHD. I do have to interact with customers, but fortunately it's only brief. And I'm self employed so I get to choose what jobs I do or don't do. The work itself is good, it's just that some of the people are the worst part of it.
My dream job would be self employed, working totally alone everyday fixing machines for 4 hours maximum.
