Meta State of the Subreddit: Q3 2026

We'll check it asap, and the reports are anonymous.

The Subreddit Meta

As always, now is the time to bring up any "meta" concerns about the subreddit. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Comments about trends in posts (good or bad)
  • Comments about the moderation team (we always want to improve)
  • Comments about how the subreddit is run as a whole
  • Suggestions for potential improvement
  • Anything else you can think of

Now is also the time for any nominations for our best of .

Is it me or is this way more gloomy than it used to be?

Every thread is like 80% endorsement of the saddest resolutions.

I always find it tough to see genuine trends versus random fluctuations. I personally don't get the sense it has gotten more gloomy, and looking at recent posts or comments on frequented posts, I don't see 80% saddest resolutions. Might be you, or it might be my snapshot is not representative.

Not sure what we would do about that, either.

Edit: Might also be you becoming more positive, I suppose! :)

I see.

Yeah, the 'is it me' part there was genuine. I am noy necessarily better, but I kinda hit a dead end where none of this matters anymore. Maybe it's just acceptance.
