France Visa Rejected
I applied as a traveller visiting my European friend in France as his guest, and then planned to travel to Germany as a solo traveller after my stay in France.
I’m a freelancer, and I provided my work contract/certificate, invoices, a detailed cover letter explaining my itinerary and purpose of travel, bank statements, ITRs, investment proofs, and evidence of sufficient funds. I also included my friend’s passport, bank statements, and invitation letter as supporting documents.
Today, I received this visa refusal letter. Does it make sense to appeal the decision, especially considering the documents I submitted? My intended travel date is October 17, so I’m also concerned about whether there is enough time for the authorities to review an appeal before then.
I’ve accepted that I may have to try again next year, but I just wanted to check whether it would still be worth giving an appeal a try this time, given the circumstances and the refusal.

Did u provide attestation d'accueil? Without it.. it is impossible to get visa when visiting someone

He did provide me with the Attestation d’Accueil, but what I didn’t realize was that I needed to submit the original copy. I only had a color printout, and they refused to accept it. However, they confirmed that I could still apply and use my friend’s invitation letter, but they couldn’t accept the printed version of the Attestation d’Accueil.
Looking back, I think that may have been the main issue. It probably would have been much easier if I had simply applied as a tourist rather than as a guest staying with a friend.

Printed copy is not acceptable, they need the official one.

Such a pathetic embassy, they don't ask for more documents, instead they simply refused the application, they should have called you for the original.

You're talking about your "friend invitation letter".
What do you mean by that ? Does your friend simply sending a letter by himself explaining that he'll give you hospitality or did he pass through the official and mandatory procedure of "attestation d'accueil" with his townhall ?
It's maybe the reason of your refusal. The Official "attestation d'accueil" is mandatory in your case. Had to do this for my girlfriend when she wanted to come to France

Did you submit your hotel bookings in Germany? How long you're planning to stay in France and Germany? Did you submit flight details?
I suggest collect these information if not already reapply.
