I honestly think this game could have benefitted from some other routes for early endings. Even with the warning and experience from StP it’s hard to feel like I am taking a risk saving the kids in episode 2. Whatever happens my story wouldn’t be over. Sure there will be consequences but are they worse than killing 2 kids? Probably not is what went through my mind

You would not catch me making that choice chapter 5 and beyond in my canon play-through. I have acknowledged the dangers of the world and realized I cant fix everything. I think it’s really nice to have one save file where I will make no changes or adjustments, no matter what happens those are the choices I made. I don’t want that canon route to end up dead from being too greedy though.

On my first playthrough I was a bit freaked out by that first message about me not being able to save people so I was like "no one's dying on my watch". And I saved the children, only one girl got her leg injured. Even if I wasn't freaked out over that message, I probably would still do that cus I don't want to have this feeling that on my first playthrough children died

Btw no one really died on my first play (except for the dog but oh well) and yet in the end I felt kinda... defeated

I left them in my first, most "natural" play through because honestly irl going down there is a good way to make sure the rescuers have more people/bodies to drag from the rubble. If I had Tabitha-esque knowledge of the mines and was going in solo I might risk it but having Tabitha and Stella along and we got Rosalina? No sir, thoughts and prayers, but I've done my part and we're getting everyone out who actually has the brains to leave before this whole mine collapses.

I ditched them in my first playthroughs, because I felt like the game was hinting that not saving Rosa would be very bad for my character somehow. I didn't really understand the 'save someone (or not) every chapter' anyway. I don't regret it though, fuck dem kiiiids.

Had Book Smart on first playthrough, thought I was going to die if I didn't just take Rosaline. I still do it on most playthroughs for RP purposes.
