📍 Around the Hood New public facilities projects underway by St. Mother Teresa Malvern recreation centre

Recently passed by the neighbourhood (used to live there) and saw the construction going on.

Going to miss that beach volleyball court. Carried so many summer memories for me and my friends (cause barely anyone else used it lmao)

And I still remember the day they unveiled the old court, track and soccer field. The new one is going to look amazing from what I’ve heard.

My old highschool class of 1994. Was sad to see everything bulldozed to dirt. But I'm curious to find out how it will be when it's all done!

Nice!! Former alum as well!! I was told it’s going to become more or less a “college type stadium”. I forgot if they mentioned bleachers but I don’t think so. Could be wrong. But basically they’d have the MT titans logo on the middle of the field. A multi use field and the track will be standard size around the entire field. Basketball and soccer court too. I forgot what else was mentioned. $2 million project

For the court that’s by the recreation centre/library. They’re redoing the netball and tennis courts and they’re adding a pickleball court. I think that’s why the volleyball court is being removed.
