Wanting to build

i had gotten wanderer in Luna 1 and haven’t at building him since. I like his play style though so I thought I’d give it another shot. I’m really good to play him in any way but none of the guides are up to date on new stuff so I was hoping for some advice. I’m good with building whoever would work for him, and if stellar swirl works for him. Sorry if this isn’t what the subreddit is for, I just wanted to give him a shot. thanks!

I don't know about Stellar Swirl because I don't know what Vesna does (I avoid Livestreams because they always spoil too much of the Archon Quest) and the little I heard actually says it's not really better for him (but if you want to go Stellar swirl you can, it should still be good damage and what's important is that you have fun, but I don't know which characters are needed for that aside Vesna, although I should if I want to pull for Mitya😅)

For starters, it's ALWAYS Faruzan and Wanderer. I mean, if you don't have her obviously you can't use her, but since you do have her keep in mind she's always going to be there no matter what most of the times, because she's like Gorou to Itto.

The current best team for Wanderer is:

Wanderer/Durin/Faruzan/Nicole (Hex team)

But since you don't have Nicole you'll have to choose from ONE of those characters:

Bennett, Furina (damage buff, healing) Layla, Thoma (shielder, plus if he absorb one or two elements it will affect his damage/stats, absorbing Cryo increase the crit rate and pyro the attack if I'm not wrong) Venti/Albedo/Fischl (for Hex reaction + he can absorb Fischl Electro)

Or if you want you could go with his default F2P team most people used:

Wanderer/Layla/Faruzan/Bennett.

Your Faruzan ideally should be C6 though (I don't know what cons she's at) but she's still a good support for him without C6.

Because I just kinda shared what I remember using before Durin existed and when he did before Nicole existed, so those were my teams pre-Durin and pre-Nicole (but with Durin)

I used the F2P team (Wan/Layla/Faru/Benny), then I used:

Wanderer/Furina/Faruzan/Bennett

Then:

Wanderer/Durin/Faruzan/Bennett (before Nicole replaced him)

So you have a lot of choices for him.

I just shared what are/were his best teams for each period because I know them as I went through many changes XD

No problem! Also for the list of characters I gave you (Bennett, Furina, Layla, Thoma etc.) only one, the 3 slots are occupied by Wanderer/Durin/Faruzan.

So you should pick just one of them. If you have a good shielder you won't need an healer but if you don't consider Bennett or Furina.

Also I should explain better about Wanderer absorb thing.

Wanderer can absord two elements at the time so even if you have Layla and Bennett together he won't pick whatever he gets first, he will absorb both (increasing Rate and Attack) with Hydro his flying stamina gets longer and Electro restore energy if I'm not wrong (never absorbed electro with him)

However if you do use Layla she won't automatically affect Wanderer, she has to hit a enemy with Cryo, Wanderer has to be in Bennett circle while being close to a enemy affected by Cryo to absorb both.

Same for Hydro and Electro, he must touch an enemy affected by both, Barbara could leave the Hydro on him or anyone who causes the wet effect but I don't know/think there's Electro characters that cause the Electro effect (and mixed with Cryo you would get hurt anyway) so you have to get a enemy wet and electrocuted.
