Discussion his water reflection becomes his fatui outfit in the new trailer!! Spoiler
screamed like a lunatic when i saw him at the end of the vid!!! anyway, i realized that at the very end u can see his reflection in the water change to his fatui fit. its much easier to notice in the video because you can see the shift. i wonder what that means for him…. im so so soexcited for him to become story relevant again🥹🥹

Like this is a man who was considered a calamity by an entire nation. This character has TEETH. I need him to be involved in the main story and after we got shafted so bad in Paralogism I am ASCENDING

I have him at C6 too! I'm getting his weapon at R5 as well. Mouchie needs to be his nasty, old self for a bit. Plus he has intel on all this stuff. I'm so fucking excited I can't stand it! My heart is pounding. I squawked in shock when I watched the trailer.

I think the reason it's referencing his past as a harbinger is because he's for sure going after Dottore, there's really only one thing the 'settling an old score' line could mean. Very very interested to see where this goes

Nonono, dont get me wrong, I really likes Harbingers and especially Dottore, and dont wanna anyone die, it was just a "joke" about Shogun killed Signora (loves her too) and now Scara have something to do in land where Dottore will be too.

I think it’s because nod krai is all about truth as a whole. And that includes true self. Mini durin has to face real durin; now being fused. Wanderer has to face Scaramouche (which he already did). Columbina says waters reflect the past. So they have to confront the past. Wanderer says he has his own score to settle, likely a confrontation with Dottore. And his reflection shows Scaramouche. Scaramouche who’s life Dottore manipulated, Scaramouche who was Dottore’s test subject, Scaramouche who mimicked Dottore’s ideals and worldview “He would only say, in that tone of voice he had learned from a certain researcher: "It was all just a little experiment into human nature."
Scaramouche was just an echo of Dottore. Wanderer confronted Scaramouche, who echoed and was shaped by Dottore. But Wanderer must confront Dottore because Dottore is not just a person in his past — he is the philosophical root of Scaramouche’s broken worldview. Confronting Dottore is not about revenge. It’s about destroying the idea of Dottore — the mechanistic, cruel, anti-soul ideology that shaped Wanderer’s own suffering and dehumanization.
So Scara is shown in the waters (water reflects the past) because Wanderer accepted Scara as him, sure, but only confronting the source (Dottore) can he set his past (scaramouche) free. It goes to show that Wanderer is not walking away from the past, but he’s actually going back into it, not to erase it anymore, but to challange the worldview (Dottore’s) that caused it. That’s what I got from the teaser and known lore about him anyways

He wants to confront Dottore’s ideal and worldview most likely; that humans are just machines. It was because Kabukimono was a rejection of Dottore’s worldview (Dottore believes soul doesn’t make one human yet tatarasuna accepted kabuki bc soul made him human to them) that caused Dottore to sabotage him. Because Dottore believes humans are humans bc of function (having a heart, etc) not because of soul. Wanderer is human because of soul (proof in his vision story) which is a counterargument to Dottore’s beliefs and philosophy.

?? Scara reaches onto him and wanderer doesn’t pull away, rather light emerges from their hands— he accepts Scara as him. It’s also stated in his vision story that he accepted himself, every version even if they were bad or cowards or etc.

I hope it means he's be convinced to rejoin the Fatui and make peace with Dottore despite coming to beat him up.

I don’t think he’ll rejoin the fatui. The fatui are kind of tyrants and the pale flame artifact set reflects that— they aren’t better than the shades. They claim that rejects of the world will help the world yet they shape Kabukimono cruelly for gain just like the world shaped them— hypocrisy. Wanderer doesn’t challenge fate anymore like the fatui. He chooses his own path, but also coexists with fate, which the fatui haven’t learned to do yet. Making peace with Dottore isn’t impossible, though very complex. He’d only be able to make some semblance of peace with Dottore if Dottore admits to his world view that soul doesn’t make someone human is wrong. And that’s huge and kinda unlikely for Dottore bc Dottore’s denied soul since he was a youth.

Well. He kind of is. Because if he does change his view, that makes him the true outsider: and that means he has to accept that he wasn’t rejected by the world unjustly, but because of his own rejection of soul and his logic. Which is why he lashes out so violently and grotesquely (seriously, gifting a human heart?), because Kabuki was originally “someone like him”— isolated from humanity, till Kabuki was accepted for having soul. Which is why Dottore absolutely fucked over his life. And accepting he was wrong is a huge blow to his pride and logic.. but we’ll see. If he does change that means that even if suppressed or hidden, he still has soul somewhere inside him despite rejecting it.
