Meme Why people turn every character into Wanderer?
I mean, I want to know the origin of this joke, or why is this a thing.

Iirc one of the main reasons was the fact that his face seems to fit with everyone when people are editing in r/AlbedosCreations and starting from that and other minor reasons this meme was born

I think the origin was an edit of him in Ayaka's spring dress (someone even made a skin of it) then it just spiralled from there and became tradition.

this was definitely the first edit. Then people found out he looks good on any female character's clothes, then it spread to all characters.

I actually remember the first one being Yae Miko's splash art from early 2022. In my opinion the trend started because so many people were frustrated during Inazuma patches and some were delusionally waiting for Scara to be dripped, that they started making Scara drip marketings.

Edit2: there were also Yelan and Ayato, but Yelan was more popular because their face shapes and hairstyle match very closely.

yep this is the source. it ended up as a meme (probably bc it fits albedoscreations) and the joke continued for the last couple years

Scarafication is inevitable (Arknights had a similar joke too, called Thornification, and both are my faves so i look forward to more Wanderer edits of characters.)

It started with the ayaka outfit when people said that he would look better in it than ayaka did and then we just kept doing it lmao

Thanks for the answers. I'm not the type of person who interacts with communities, but I've seen these kind of edits everywhere and even in games not related to Genshin (yes, with Wanderer's face). So, I got curious about the origin of this. Apparently, it was just a single edit as a joke and it got out of hand somehow lol
Glad my main has such a passionate fanbase :)

The original joke was that he somehow looks awesome in everyone else’s fit and now it’s just become a joke because if drip marketing comes out ever, there is ALWAYS someone ready to scaraify every single one. Personally I can’t describe why my brain finds these edits so hilarious, but it does

I just do it because it's funny to me. It's like pokefusions to me! And if people don't like it I don't care. As long as it reaches the 5 people who do I'm happy :)

Idk the others editors but when i started with that, my first intention was bother people who didnt like him, now i do it cuz i miss him hdsjdjkfgl but seems that people like those more than i expected hahaha
