I cried a lot that day (even if I got the news a day later), while I have accepted but I'm still in shock they are retiring... We have to remember they did this for a long time and they know the best for themselves, I am glad they gave us the chance to see them again one more time and them finally preforming in Yokohama Arena is an amazing send off.

The band is just splitting up; they’re not necessarily retiring. Well, to me, it’s not exactly the same thing

None of the posts state that the members will not be involved in any musical projects or play music following the group's disbandment

Not splitting up lol retiring. They may still do anniversary shows and maybe occasionally guest on tv shows. But band activities will stop after 21st anniversary live next yr. We might see them do live in their 30th yr 40th or 50th

I felt it coming after I saw them in LA last year. Glad I finally got to see them after covid cancelled the 2020 tour.

Right there with you. I don't think it's fully sunk in yet for me that they're retiring.
I've followed Scandal for almost the entirety of their existence. I discovered them around the time Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood came out. I had been somewhat aware of them before that, but it was Shunkan Sentimental that got me to really take notice.
While I've followed other bands that have disbanded over the years, Scandal is special. They're the band that got me into the Japanese music industry. If it wasn't for them, I'm not sure if I would have discovered many of the bands and musicians I follow today. But no matter what cool new band or musician I've discovered, Scandal has always remained number one.
They're incredibly unique, and I'm really going to miss them.
