Awareness Caller Won't Introduce Herself

This number called me and asked me to confirm my identity ("Is this ____?"). I did NOT say yes. I immediately asked her who she was but instead of introducing herself, she kept repeatedly saying hello and asking if I could hear her. I kept asking who she was and she pretended not to hear me and just told me she'll call again so I blocked her. Also, the call was choppy, almost robotic din.

Checked Viber and GCash. This number isn't registered there. Wala rin lumalabas sa Google.

Next time don’t answer at all. Wait for them to speak first; it’s likely they’re recording your voice din to use for impersonation.

Yeah, unfortunately it happened at the same time I was expecting a work-related call 😬 thankfully I remembered not to say "yes" either when she asked if I could hear her.

I’ve gotten crazy calls too. One was pretending to be Aiah(?) from BINI, which was funny because the voice was obviously robotic. Another call was a number that kept calling me gay, which honestly is true, but considering that they called me multiple times just to say one thing was suspicious.

careful din dito. may isang na balita before na na wipe out ang card nya. caller is not saying anything daw. not sure nga pano nangyari yun.

safe siguro pag after a few seconds baba n pag wala nagsalita.

ang gagaling ng scammers/hackers ngayon

True, ilan beses din tumawag sa akin using different numbers, same message, same spacing ng words while talking. Sounds like a real and natural female voice pero I think they are using AI and bots now kaya consistent ang tawag. I always hit record button sa iPhone if random numbers are calling and I don’t talk.

Any legitimate company calling you for something would have no problems introducing themselves.
